Me first!

Posted by Assault Andy 30th June, 2006

Disregard this, I don't want the points. I had a similar news post ready to go when MMF2 was released , your one is better though. I don't think MMF2 will be released for another 12 hours or so, as Jeff said he would release it about 6-8 hours after he wakes up. Jeff lives in America, and I'm in Australia, so it will probably be like 3AM on Saturday when it is released for me.

Posted by Bo Fu 30th June, 2006

Oh, man, this is great news. I can't wait to buy this. I'm going Developer.

Damn, accidently pushed "add comment".

All of our questions will be answered. This is definately a day to remember; it WILL change the way we see klik related things, FOREVER.

PS- do i get double points for posting twice?!?!

Posted by Nev6502 30th June, 2006

ME!

Posted by MJK 30th June, 2006

Posted by Peblo 30th June, 2006

...Yes, DC points. Do those matter?

Posted by Flava 30th June, 2006

You can have my 25 DC points if you want them that badly

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

Ive been here a while and the points mean nothing to me. People can get points for anything!

Man I need to start saving for mmf2 now

Posted by Rikus 30th June, 2006

Hey maybe the admins/clubbie have something planned for those dc points in the future.. you never know.. Did i just spoil the surprise there guys?

Posted by Peblo 30th June, 2006

Didn't you also say something along those lines like... a year ago?

Posted by Flava 30th June, 2006

I think I shall keep my points then

Posted by _rydin 30th June, 2006

I'm just gunna keep refreshing every 10 minutes or so, till the "nothing here yet" changes into "MULTIMEDIA FUSION TWO IS OUT! GET IT NOW!".

Posted by Arneckian 30th June, 2006

The suspense is hurting me...

Posted by Peblo 30th June, 2006

>_> I'm going to bed, won't be out for another... 12 or so.

Posted by Silveraura 30th June, 2006

Clickteam better get some very high bandwidth servers. We're talking around 5-20kb/sec maximum for everyone (unless you use dialup), no matter how fast your connection is.

Posted by Arneckian 30th June, 2006

Come on. Wake up Jeff!

Did anyone get that? The Wiggles?

Ahhh well... I tried to be funny...

Posted by Peblo 30th June, 2006

It's like what, 3am there? Have fun... sitting around...

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

Wow, I didn't know theres going to be onion skinning in MMF2

Posted by Arneckian 30th June, 2006

Its 9:17 AM in paris
and 5:17 PM where I am

Posted by Isbeorn 30th June, 2006

Oh man. It won't be up while I am still at work and can download it! I've got a crappy 56k at home so I'll have to go over to a friend.
...must ...have ...it ...TODAY!

Posted by Henry GALE 30th June, 2006

MMF2 will be released at 12:00 PM

Posted by Assault Andy 30th June, 2006

According to who?

Posted by Silveraura 30th June, 2006

You seem confident about that, so how about you leave your PC and go to the movies over and over again until 12:00 PM, that way when your wrong, we can clog the bandwidth for you.

Posted by _rydin 30th June, 2006

"yeah, mmf 2 got release in 2006 sometime"

"i know, i was there, man."

"whoa."

Posted by Greasy 30th June, 2006

buttcrack?

Posted by Silveraura 30th June, 2006

Hush, you're a part of S.U.M.G.O.O., so even if you got MMF2, you'd find some way to make it look bad.

Woops? Nah...

Posted by _rydin 30th June, 2006

*opens klik and play*

Posted by steve 30th June, 2006

Posted by Greasy 30th June, 2006

again with the put-downs. Did you play my 24 hour game. I believe it was a good competition for the other games/

Posted by Greasy 30th June, 2006

But none of this arguing, lets just wait.

Posted by _rydin 30th June, 2006

I gotta get some sleep..... somebody think of me when they are downloading, and hopefully I'll dream about it or something....... w/e

Posted by Heart Break Kid 30th June, 2006

wait a min. why are you so excited about MMF2? sadly even mmf2 won't rise up the standards of klik games

How many workers are actually there are clickteam?

Posted by tdc052621 30th June, 2006

W00T! 3 1/2 MORE HOURS!

I am going to stay up all night again I guess.

Posted by Peblo 30th June, 2006

Yes HBK, I can hardly wait to see Scooby Doo Bubble Buster 2.

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 30th June, 2006

I have a feeling the Clickteam site is going to crash spectacularly today from the sheer number of people hitting F5 repeatedly.

The entirety of my news post was just going to be a link to Clickteam saying "It's out".

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

I have already uninstalled MMF1.5

Posted by SoftWarewolf 30th June, 2006

lol, uninstall? think not buy as soon as link is up. think so

Posted by Joshtek 30th June, 2006

You don't need to uninstall MMF 1.5. I still have KNP installed . Oooh, not long!

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

Well, I shouldn't need MMF1.5 after MMF2 apart from extension compatibility

Posted by Jarzka 30th June, 2006

Just went to sleep after 24h of wait before you posted this. Damn.

Posted by Joshtek 30th June, 2006

AFAIK if you have transitions that haven't been converted for MMF2 you need to open it in MMF 1.5 and remove them.

Posted by Crimson79 30th June, 2006

What is taking so long?????????????? damn

23456 times

Posted by sysoptic 30th June, 2006

wher is the demo?(

Posted by ZeroTau[FA] 30th June, 2006

Well, someone said Jeff is in America. And if he launches 6-8 hours after waking, that makes it around 3 or 4 am for Europeans...

Posted by Crimson79 30th June, 2006

399 us dollars

Posted by Joshtek 30th June, 2006

Jeff has spoken on CT forums:
"Ok quit making all that noise
I got up extra early today to get things done.

Just need to go check with Yves on whats left to clean up "

Posted by Jarzka 30th June, 2006

And that means?

Posted by Christodoulou Apps 30th June, 2006

Yay! Damn I 'm thrilled!!!!

Posted by Crimson79 30th June, 2006

i must say that the games factory layout works much better than mmf i hate the damn windows

Posted by Mruqe 30th June, 2006

Won't argue with that.

Posted by -Nick- 30th June, 2006

How is TGF layed out? I can't honestly see any different way they could've made it...

Posted by Crimson79 30th June, 2006

just too many windows on your screen make things a bit difficult

Posted by Joshtek 30th June, 2006

The time have cometh.

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 30th June, 2006

It's out - I'm updating the news as fast as I can!

Posted by Assault Andy 30th June, 2006

HOLY CARP! *JIZZES* DOWNLOADING!

Posted by -Nick- 30th June, 2006

Downloading at 45kb/s... respectable speed tbh.

Posted by Assault Andy 30th June, 2006

Wow, it's a really small download. Even with all 3 progs in it!

Posted by Retired Kliker Lazarus 30th June, 2006

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!

I R HAPPIEST!!!

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

YAY! demo downloaded.

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

Im glad its equally as easy to understand as mmf, It seems more organised This is a must! GASP the editor rocks

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

Works for me. And omg, the developer version in UK is like so much more.

Posted by Faithtoken 30th June, 2006

10 minutes left. Exited out of my mind!

Posted by Jarzka 30th June, 2006

WOOHOO!!!

Posted by Assault Andy 30th June, 2006

Yeah I've found at least 3 bugs, I am not impressed.

Posted by Assault Andy 30th June, 2006

If you can't run your apps, restart MMF2. That happened to me aswell and someone on the CT forums.

Posted by -Nick- 30th June, 2006

Ok i take my comment back, you can run applications, but if you load a .CCA (from MMF1) you CANNOT run it in MMF2 ><

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

I go for an hours walk, come back and wahey!

Posted by Assault Andy 30th June, 2006

I can runs ccas in MMF2.

Posted by jpSoul 30th June, 2006

very good ! but I can't run any application... even if I load a .mfa the Run application and Run frame buttons doesn't work !!

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

This will be like when they ask "Where were you when Kennedy was assassinated"- "Where were you when MMF2 was released?"

I was in my hammock

Posted by Assault Andy 30th June, 2006

Everyone go to the CT forums and sign up, there's a whole lot of bug-related complaining going on. Maybe you can find the solution to your problem?

Posted by Mruqe 30th June, 2006

So... It's here. And people go 'yay!' and 'I'm going for developer version'. Blah!

Good thing It's out. I hope it will be a boost to the whole klik community - it needs one, badly

Oh, by the way - the people who post just after the MMF2 is up should get the points - not those who posted comments to the article wit an empty link, cause that makes no sense.

... a hammock. Cool

Posted by Jarzka 30th June, 2006

Hmm, run doesn't work never?

Posted by -Nick- 30th June, 2006

Ah yes, fixed it, very perculiar.

Quick answer for other people:
To run the application you have to click the applications icon in the project explorer first.

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

Hmm, I can open MMF2, creat new application and run it.
Then I open their example file, Gracillas V, and then I can't run any application until I restart MMF2

Posted by Joshtek 30th June, 2006

You need to copy mmfs2.dll into the \data\runtime\ folder to make MMF2 work properly.

Posted by Jarzka 30th June, 2006

"To run the application you have to click the applications icon in the project explorer first. "

Doesn't still work.

Posted by Jarzka 30th June, 2006

Joshtek: THANK GOD IT WORKS!

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

Everyone having run application problems, follow joshteks method

Posted by -Nick- 30th June, 2006

Joshtek: Hmm, it's weird they made us do that manually, instead of doing that in the installer. Not very user friendly lol.

Posted by Joshtek 30th June, 2006

Jarzka: Thank Duffski. He posted it on the CT forums.

Posted by Superfunk 30th June, 2006

This is so awesome! It comes with a free MooGame extention!

Also, how do I convert MMF1 extentions for use with MMF2?

Posted by X_Sheep 30th June, 2006

You don't. The extension makers have to do it themselves.

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

The mooGame extention is free now anyway.

And you can only convert a MMF1 extention to a MM2 extention if you have the source code for it. You could try contacting the extention developer and asking him to convert it.

Posted by Hayo 30th June, 2006

I like it so far, it's really nice to see klikgames run this smoothly and all. Now I want to play around with layers but I can't find it.

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

Layers is stupidly hidden. Right-click on a toolbar, and u should see the option pop-up

Posted by Hayo 30th June, 2006

Thanks. Awesome, paralaxing is so easy now. The only bad part I see so far is the little icon next to the mouse pointer in the pic editor as it's pretty distracting. I am gonna buy mmf2 dev anyway.

Posted by Cazra 30th June, 2006

can't wait for my copy from the compo to come in. Probably won't see it til a week or so though since I live overseas from Europe.

Posted by jpSoul 30th June, 2006

can't acces to the properties of the application... there is a lot of bugs in this demo :s

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

The properties is in a window to the left, silly boy

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

So far, 1 bug, and that's because of the installer

Posted by Klikmaster 30th June, 2006

Is it me, or is clickteam down

Posted by Joshtek 30th June, 2006

Yeah, it died.

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 30th June, 2006

If anyone doesn't have the demo yet, the torrent should be working now. I hope.

http://www.mininova.org/tor/354867

Posted by Silveraura 30th June, 2006

More like, you need to take the MMF2s.dll and put it into the Data/Runtime folder, its a fault on the installers half, MMF2 is just dealing with what it's given. And it wasn't given what it needs.

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 30th June, 2006

I'm very impressed with the Layers feature. Already I've separated my latest project into Parallax, Playfield, Foreground and Overlay, and it makes the organisation of it much easier.

The only disadvantage is that now I'll definitely have to buy a second monitor.

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 30th June, 2006

And now the torrent's working (this time, I promise).

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

The lives graphics are dinky hearts instead of little blue men. Im buying.

Posted by Peblo 30th June, 2006

Woke up to MMF2 being released. It better be more smooth.

Posted by jpSoul 30th June, 2006

WOW, at 50fps + V sync activated all movements are VERY smooth !!! excellent for 320x240 full screen, with MMF1 the framerates were not very stable but now the applications have a good fluidity

Posted by sysoptic 30th June, 2006

I Download MMF2, but i can't run aplications

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

To quote Joshtek

"You need to copy mmfs2.dll into the \data\runtime\ folder to make MMF2 work properly."

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

You're welcome

Posted by Matt Boothman 30th June, 2006

Just same as the old MMF.

Posted by Peblo 30th June, 2006

Well, we did only go up .5 versions.

Posted by Silveraura 30th June, 2006

Maybe he some how accidentally downloaded MMF 1.5's Demo? Not sure how, seeing as its not on Clickteams website anymore, but maybe? Personally, after the little "run" glitch which was the installers fault... I am VERY pleased with MMF's performance!

Posted by Retired Kliker Lazarus 30th June, 2006

I is love. MMF2 is so good. I shall buy dis' shit.

Posted by AndyUK 30th June, 2006

can anyone confirm if this opens TGF gam files.

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

i think it does, I opened one of skydragons in it earlier

Posted by Hayo 30th June, 2006

Yeah it does. It also opens knp games.

Posted by Smeggy 30th June, 2006

I'd be excited about MMF2's release, except I lack the finances to purchase a copy.

Posted by Saven (CrobaSoft) 30th June, 2006

You and me both, Smeggy. :/

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

People take note, saven's avatar changes comments!

Posted by Greasy 30th June, 2006

hmm, did they fix the installer? When I first installed my demo, the mmf2.dll was already in the runtime folder.

Posted by Greasy 30th June, 2006

Does anyone in the world actually have the full version of MMF 2 yet?

Posted by David Newton (DavidN) 30th June, 2006

Yes, the installer was fixed this evening.

Posted by Greasy 30th June, 2006

Does anyone know if when you use a font in the game that someone else doesn't have, then they play the game. Will they see the font you put in, or will they see it as a different font.

Posted by Coolsoft Games 30th June, 2006

The new website design looks pretty hot too.

Posted by Broomie 30th June, 2006

I just bought TGF2, how amazing.

Posted by Ski 30th June, 2006

oooh I forgot to download the demo of that

Posted by Mruqe 1st July, 2006

I tried the TGF2 demo (because TGF2 is all I could possibly afford anyway).

The default platform movement is as crappy as ever. So many improvements and they didn't fix that?? They sure must be aware it sucks, so why didn't they care?

Also - if a TGF1 .gam file needs extensions, there's no way to open it. Puting the needed extensions in the extensions\mmf1 folder (there's a readme file on it there, which I followed) doesn't help. This makes the new tool less usefull to me as all my game projects are in TGF1 and use extensions

I don't know if 'properties' option from the right - click context menu does anything at all. I didn't work for me.

I really, really like some of the new features, though. And the price - it's almost affordable

Posted by Greasy 1st July, 2006

Does anyone know where the option to take an object from another application is?

Posted by Arneckian 1st July, 2006

When do we get the DC points?

Posted by Klikmaster 1st July, 2006

Mruqe: Yes, 'properties' from the right-click menu does do something, it opens the properties area on the left, but seeing as it's open by default, it won't do anything.

Posted by Mruqe 1st July, 2006

Yeah, I figured it out

Posted by ben mercer 1st July, 2006

I must go and order this now!

Posted by ben mercer 1st July, 2006

Just ordered my copy EEEEEEEE! Can't wait!!

Posted by ben mercer 1st July, 2006

I've just had a play with the mmf2 demo. I almost cried with amazement.

Posted by phanto 1st July, 2006

ooh, givf points

Posted by MJK 1st July, 2006

It's really good. But is it worth 3 years of waiting & hype + 299 € - of course it isn't. (to me, anyway)

Posted by Klikmaster 1st July, 2006

I've completely changed my mind, the only thing I can see that is great about MMF2 now is performance and stability.
But I'm going to stick with MMF1.5 for the time being.

Posted by DaVince 2nd July, 2006

I'm very happy about this.

Posted by Greasy 2nd July, 2006

Does anyone have the full copy of MMF 2 yet?

Posted by Cazra 2nd July, 2006

no.

Posted by Arneckian 3rd July, 2006

yes. Jeff Vance obviously has a copy.

How do u pronounce Yves?

Posted by Joshtek 3rd July, 2006

AFAIK the s is silent so it is pronounced 'Eve'.

Posted by Linkman 4th July, 2006

I downloaded the demo. I was overall dissapointed with it. While the addition of real-time rotation and extra color blending options were cool, alot of it was a bit meh. For example, the real-time rotation is a bit choppy, making it to where rotated objects wobble. Nope, I'm just sticking with good ol' Game Maker now.

Posted by Daymian T 4th July, 2006

The animation editor is awesome! I'm having a blast goofing around with the demo. I can't wait until my copy of Dev arrives in the mail! My name is in the credits under 'special thanks'. Sweeetnesss.
Oh, you know what might be cool? There should be some DC points awarded for the first game made in TGF2/MMF2 thats posted here. Just an idea.

Posted by Bo Fu 4th July, 2006

Jesus. Nothing even works in the demo. I can't rename applications, open the properties window, or ANYTHING. What a gyp.

Posted by Philip Dyer 4th July, 2006

That's a bit harsh, deleting my post simply because I said that the new products aren't worth buying. I simply said that they're only a small improvement on TGF1 and MMF1, with a couple of snazzy new featues. All the games made on the 10 year old products can match the ones made in TGF 2 etc.
In order to improve the products I would like the number of directions increased. I see no need to have to do trigonometry because of the programme's short comings. 3D would have been a nice feature. I know these things can be added with plugins but it's not the same, it should be in the programme already! 2006 = 3D games. Please, clickteam, make an easy to use 3D game maker! (With more than 32 directions)

In my opinion the new programmes are a case of too little too late. All they are are the old programmes with a more polished interface and some new features.

Please ignore the post above. I've just realised that there are 2 different forum bits for MMF2 on this site. Sorry.

Moving the DLL seemed to fix my problems. Hasn't negatively effected my decision to buy it; just need to dig up my serial.

"the real-time rotation is a bit choppy"

I got it to run smooth... Just use a decimal number (add .0) for better results.
