If you put a million monkeys at a million keyboards, one of them will eventually write a Java program. The rest of them will write Perl programs.

I've done some fleshing out of this idea. I think that if we get enough participants, we could have everyone split into teams and each team does their own Google+ Hangout On Air so that they can work with each other for the hour or however long. We do them On Air both so that others can spectate on the team working, and so that they get uploaded to YouTube afterwards for posterity (of course we don't have to do them that way if that makes anyone uncomfortable.) Afterwards, we'd have judges check out the products of each team and crown a winner. Not sure what the prize would be though. Of course, others can come up with ideas too. Sandwich Time!Whoo!
