Ok, I figured since I submitted the second one I might as well submit the first one!

Action Slip is another top down shoot-em-up and it was created during my spare time with the help of some of my friends. Its a little less technically impressive than the second one but some say that they enjoy this one much more.

The controls are-

Up Arrow-fly up
Down Arrow-fly down
Right Arrow-fly right
Left Arrow-fly left
Shift-Shoot
Space-Mega Bomb/Clear Screen

You only start with 3 Mega Bombs
You lose 3 points for every shot
You Gain 10 for every kill
You Gain bonus for extra health left over at the end of each level as well as a boss bonus

5 looooong levels of Shoot-em-up action!
A highscore board!
Um Fun!

Heh, heh... I wondered what happened to the first game. I'll try it out now, then, and tell you what I think.

I likes this one better than the second one, but the second one does have better graphics, mabey you can re-do this one with the same graphical style as the second. Or if you ever make a 3rd one..

I liked the weapon-system better in this one than in your later game. Although I don't quite see why you want to discourage the player to spam bullets. Shooting things is what I personally find so amusing about these games, so why adding a little penalty for doing so?

I didn't like that all weapons were lost when the ship was destroyed, there could at least have been a way to re-get or save some small upgrade at any time in the game.

I found the first boss too hard to be the first boss. I think it's better to make the first levels easy so that the player is trapped in the game when it starts to get really hard.

Graphics, music and game-play was good, altough the levels could have been a little better planned (easier to hit more of the enemies when playing them the first time).

Yeah, well I haven't worked on this one in one and a half years so it'll have to stay how it is, but by the time I'm making the 5th one it'll be top notch! Image

Definitely worth a play; the simple graphics made it a great experience. My only issues were that losing all your upgrades made you really weak since upgrades are so rare; and the static enemies that can track you had too much life! >_<

They were meant to be avoided, not destroyed.
