*UPDATED 24.4.08* As requested you can now run over and splatter people *such violent people on here * and time reduced to 3 minutes from 5.

Nothing spectacular here but like Freekicks, another nice little score based game.

Quickly pick up and drop off passengers in your Taxi and earn as much money as you can! Take too long and your passenger may just give up and find his/her own way!

I originally made this a year ago but touched it up a bit recently and decided (with some persuasion from Va1entine) to upload it finally.

Instructions:
-Controls: UP-accelerate, DOWN-Decelerate, LEFT- turn left, RIGHT- turn right
-You get 3 mins to play game.
-Use the onscreen arrow to guide you to where your next passenger is waiting.
- Pick up passenger by moving into orange space, they will tell you where they want to go, use arrow to find destination, move into flashing space to drop off passenger.
-You get 50 secs to take each passenger to their destination, once you have run out of time they will leave the taxi and you will get nothing
-Successfully dropping off your passenger will make you money amounting to the time you had left.

That was quite fun, but a bit too long.
There should be less time at the beginning of the game, and the passengers could give a time bonus when you drop them. Also, whatever is the destination, you always have 50 seconds to take the passenger to his destination, that's weird.
It's still a good mini-game, the graphics and controls are ok

Zoglu, yes, the passenger location and then the destination are completely random, couldnt think of a way for it to know how far away you have to travel and how much time you should get.

You could use a little math. The distance between the passenger's location and the destination is given by :
Sqr(( X("passenger") - X("destination") Pow 2) + (Y("passenger") - Y("destination" Pow 2) )
Replace the names by your objects' name and it will work. However, this won't give exactly the distance the player will have to travel, because of the obstacles. But it could be a decent approximation.

This game was well made and i enjoyed drivin around the large area, but i was hoping i could run over the people and splatter there brains all over the road but instead they pushed my car out the way! They all must be on steroids, any way good game!

Pretty solid game, but the driving engine could have used a few more features.

Solid game play and by far the best Tait game in the series! Come on clickers lets reflect on this game for what it really is, a great peace of entertainment! Reminds me of Crazy Taxi back in the day with Grand Theft Auto 1 graphics. The only thing missing is some Off-Spring tracks oh and i wish i could splat the general public! (a bit of road kill would have worked well). I'll be voteing Taxi game of the week and its gonna have to take a BoneSaw title from knocking this off the top spot! Thanks again for releasing this title on the Daily Click!!! Great job Tait!!!!!

As requested by JRP and Va1entine, you can now run over and splatter the brains of the general public to your hearts content! Enjoy violent pshycopaths!

One thing i noticed is that you can collide with people by jut driving normally on the road. Because their heads stick up into the road.

That update was awesome man! I had lots of fun splattering there guts all over the place!

You should make a new car game that is just based on drivin around killing people and maybe have the cops chase ya when your rap sheet builds!

Tait what can i say????? You've nailed the road kill element, the splat sound effect makes me laugh everytime! Flava you might as well give Tait the game of the week cup now! Just noticed on the main page Rikus has reviewed Taxi on KlikCast i'm just about to watch it!

He he, thanks guys, problem for me now is I spend too much time deliberatly running people over instead of playing the game properly! Don't know about GOTW but I know I have at least got a couple of votes!

i personally dont think i could play this game for fun purposes because the car isnt in the same perspective as the rest of the game and it drives me crazy. Its not a bad game though. Keep it up, as long as you make everything in the same perspective

Good stuff! Hate to suggest this but... it kinda reminds me of SouthPark.

This is really cool, When i download click games i tend to only play them a few times but i keep going back to this one. It's inspired me to make something similar, but i want to put in funny signs and fake shop names but then i'd have ti make an "isometric" style car view, rather than top down. Oh well, maybe i could just have the signs on shops inexplicably stuck to the roof, for the benefit of passing helicopters
