I'm going to paste this off my site because I'm lazy:

The year is 2288. The city is protected by an organization called "The Peacekeepers League" and everything is swell except for that it's under attack! By a robot army lead by professor Darnacus Damnation!! Or is it... ?

100 years after the events of Noitu Love 1 the new star of the Peacekeepers is Xoda Rap, and what she has to endure is a sudden resurrection of the Darn armies, but adding to that the city is locally turning to places of the past! What could be causing this?

Using a mouse reticule as a quick-dash-to-enemies and mouse gestures for special moves, Xoda will take on anything that stands in her way in the name of peace! The game shares little in pacing and action to Noitu Love 1. It is more of a continuation on that universe, so expect much more mindless action!

Noitu Love 2 will be sold.

(Please report any bugs to "mr.noitu-insert@-gmail.com".)

Thanks, everyone!

This game is simply awesome. Everything is perfect. Controls are really original. I had the feeling I could do everything I wanted in this game In addition, it is really fast-paced : there are no pauses, just a nonstop and enjoyable wave of enemies and bosses.
I could also talk about the excellent graphics, the effects, the musics, but to keep it simple : PLAY IT

(oh, I experienced a little slowdown each time I hit an enemy. anyway, I'm using a crappy laptop so maybe it's normal, and it didn't really annoyed me as this game was really great)

Noitu Love = Evolution

Xoda Rap = Paradox

= Ingenuity!

The game also paused for me everytime I hit an enemy, and I've got a pretty good computer... is this a feature implemented into the game?

That effect is used in a lot of things and it's a rather good effect. Mario Sunshine was the first game I found it in.

As for the game. The graphics and coding are incredible, the music is pretty good. I'm hoping there will be things to collect.
I keep hearing people compare the gameplay and pacing to Metal Slug where (for me at least) the replayability comes from rescuing prisoners and finding secret weapons. I trust the full game has something bringing players back for more?

"I trust the full game has something bringing players back for more? "

Considering that was a small part of the game in the demo, there were a lot of bosses/mini bosses to bring me back

I think I know what Dr. James is getting at--the levels are much more arcardesque; the design isn't really meant to be explored (considering that at the moment all you can do is go forward). I think ultimately that'll hurt replay value, since there's such a strong linear direction...

Also, I'd suggest making "helpful" arrows and "enemy incoming" arrows two different colors. When I first saw the yellow arrows pointing to the trees in the first level, I assumed that that's where the plane was going to be shooting...maybe a blue arrow could represent places where you're supposed to go and yellow arrows are hazard warnings.

... This was .. simply .. AMAZING !

This is Nothing like the first one.
Which is Very Good, since I didn't like the first one.

Did something else give you an idea for the controls, or did you come up with the style yourself ?

I've seen very few things done in this style.
I know I've seen something like this before, but can't remember what it was.

Very Original Controls. Nice Design of .. well ..
Everything !
This was made in the First MMF ???

It's sort of like a combination of Gunstar Heroes, Metal Slug, and a few other games I can't remember at the moment.

you get a Triple F as your grade (FFF)

Fast-paced, Fluid-Movement, and Fun-gameplay.

You can quote me on that.

I can't get the QuickTime video to work though.
It says that I am missing items for the video to work, But it doesn't tell me what I need so I can fix it.

I was like "WOW!" when I first played it, and after the 4th time I completed the demo I was still like "WOW!" (played it before it came to the TDC!) Everything is perfect so I dont have any crits... I couldnt get the movie to work either, but its that movie on youtube right?

Great work! Even everyone from PixelJoint is talking about it

Posted by Jimbob 31st March, 2008

I think any Metal Slug comparisons are in relation to its graphics rather than its gameplay style. I think you need to think more along the lines of Gunstar Heroes for the gameplay, although that's simply due to the changing environments and the enemy hordes in between the plentiful boss battles.

i'm inclined to agree with all the praise ive seen so far!

the only problem i could see is that it's almost impossible to avoid getting hit if you come across a plaftormy type section. Like the part quite near the end of level 1 where you have to use the wall jump. You will almost certainly take a hit when trying to move.

I might even buy a copy of this when it's released.

Omg this is so professional. Really enjoyed the Demo. So fast-paced, and the controls are simply amazing - Love how you can practically fly around in the air So innovative. At the end of the game i practically never touched the ground

If SNES was now, you would get rich with this game

Posted by Bibin 31st March, 2008

This game is ingenious; I pretty much agree with everyone on this, but have a few complaints.

The style the darns are drawn in; I dunno, they don't seem like darns any more. I liked the old design much more...

Frantic action! YAY!

The boat boss was awesome, I remember seeing the video for it.

Controls are pretty much perfect, you can do a lot without needing 50 buttons to do so, and the character's freedom and agility feels awesome. Very solid and very intuitive.

It started to get really good on the second level, once I got the hang of the controls. I think you laid out the first level perfectly as an introductory level, and the second level left me wanting more

This demo is very professional, and if I have money to spare I may buy the full version. One thing the demo is lacking is any hint that your character improves over the game, or if there will be any other gameplay rather than the same platform fighting with the same abilities. I liked the form morphing in the first Noitu Love, and almost puzzle-like sections - they served as a nice little break from the action. This sequel seems to have improved a lot on the combat, but gotten rid of what I thought was one of the first game's strongest points.

Then again, I did enjoy the game a lot even with just the combat. It was fun, sections were nice and varied, and from the looks of it each level is going to be packed with events (like falling down the tower in level 2) that keep the game exciting and fresh.

Great job

I had a TMNT- The Arcade game or Golden Axe feel when I played it. Not like it's anything like those games, but the whole arrows telling you to move it or lose it is what did it.

This deserves no less than 5 stars. For professionalism, graphics, and gameplay alone. Sooo fuckin' smooth, you bastard

Make Dr. James a fightable mini-boss and I'll buy one too!

I agree with Imadjinn, the game smacks of Gunstar Heroes, which is awesome. I loved Gunstar Heroes.

The graphics are outstanding, the presentation had me thinking the whole time about the 16-bit era long past. All in all, an amazing game experience.

Keep up the fantastic work! I'd love to play the full version when it's done!

Great game! I never thought games this professional were possible on MMF.

If you have 20 bucks just laying around doing nothing important, SPEND THEM ON THIS!

Sure, $20 is a little steep for a click game, but had he never mentioned that this was made in MMF, I don't think you (nor anyone else) would have ever known. This is an extremely professional game and the author must have spent tons of time on this baby. I had no idea games like this were even possible on click software. He not only drew all the amazing sprites and backgrounds, but he did all the fantastic music as well. I was hesitant to spend the cash myself, but I wanna support this talented designer so that he will continue to make games like this. Someday, you'll be buying his stuff on the Xbox or something (and that'll cost you $60).

Oh my God, $20 isn't 'steep'. It's beyond fair, this guy's put his blood, sweat, and tears into this game. You don't see ANY games for less than $20, unless they're the kind of game that's destined for the bargain bin because they're just plain, uninspired gaming failures. If you can't cough up $20 for a game this good, you obviously don't have your own income. Get your parents to buy it for you or something.

I don't think it's fair calling Joakim 'arrogant' because he believes (rightly so) that he deserves to be paid for his frankly outstanding efforts. Just because it's a Klik game doesn't mean you should instantly slap a label on it and consider it not up to a commercial standard, this is the best thing anyone's ever produced with a Klik product and he deserves every dollar that comes his way. Sure, Klikking's a hobby, but that doesn't mean that if you're good enough you shouldn't be able to take it further. Stop being bitter that he didn't release it for free, you know it's just because it's the best thing in the Klik scene by far.

I just bought this, and I've never been happier after spending $20 that I had to work for. This beautiful game cost me one hour of my life, and now I'm going to get as many hours back out of it as I like. Kill, Xoda, kill!

C'mon, as long as these games look and feel professional, what does it matter if they're more than $5? If I could get $20 for something I made and spent a long time on, I'd do it too. You probably would too. A lot of us would.

I don't think I'd use the word "arrogant" to describe somebody actually wanting to be compensated for all their hard work. I say, good for him!
