This sounds neat, but games this epic usually don't get taken seriously without some screenies.

Sorry about that, uploaded some now. My connection was being a bitch, it hates uploading files over 100k, and then the site went down. Will try and get a demo up some time.

Ah, good good! Screenshots just help people know that you're serious about making the game, and it looks like you are! I'll be looking forward to it!

Well, I've had 2 short-ish levels done for yonks now so I've already "Been" serious about if you get me It was done for a Final Year Project in college, but I thought I'd submit what I've done here and eventually finish it into a proper game instead of just a demonstration.

"...eventually finish..." - does that mean you have stopped work on it for now? Hope not...

I'm working on a Gameboy style Getter Robo game at the moment. It'll take a while to sort this out to continue it. But either way, there's a demo coming soon, which you don't currently have, so that's progress as far as you're concerned

It's done I just want to build up some suspense.

Howso? Ion Adventures uses 3D rendering for everything, I use "handdrawn" sprites and heavily edited photographs. And some 3D rendering I guess.

Hi,
Your game sounds great, but why did you choose to use sprites and photographs? It looks really weird, your sprites really differ from the backgrounds. Maybe that's why it reminds me of The Ion Adventures
You should draw your own backgrounds, in my opinion.

Or 'posterize' the photographs in Photoshop (or a program similar), giving a hand-drawn/painted look!

I kind of like the way this looks though, it distincts interactive objects from the backgrounds. A lot of games do use a similar style it's just less obvious.

If I were to posterise stuff now I'd have to go back and redo all the seams, etc. :|

Actually, i retract my suggestion - we haven't seen or played it yet and should give it a chance. For all we know it may like it once we see it in motion and have played it!

Good to see you ignoring the only constructive criticism on your game.
