Project Overview
Here is the basic game description from my last preview:

"Think Microsoft's "Close Combat" series, only faster paced and probably less men to command, and you're halfway there.

The player will take the role of a company commander of a US 1st Division unit, and will not control individual men, but small squads, a la Close Combat.

There will be your standard light infantry units, plus machine gunners and mortars that you can strategically place to provide backup for your light infantry.

The locations and objectives that will provide the missions to play through, will be as accurate as the actual campaign, hopefully right down to the names of the roads, villages, dates, etc."

Nothing much has changed in that, but this game has recently had a huge development surge.

I will release this game in three seperate installments, that'll essentially be seperate. They will be:

U.S Army 2nd Rangers - The player will lead the Rangers from Omaha beach and advance through Normandy. This is the campaign that is described above, except I have decided against the 1st Division and opted for the 2nd Rangers, as this makes the game more historically accurate, because of the small number of men you control.

U.S Army 101st Airborne - This campaign will have leading the 101st Airborne through The Battle Of The Bulge (Winter 1944-45). The action will be intense and there will be many crucial decisions to make that will effect the campaign.

British S.A.S - This campaign will be different from the other two - the player will conduct many sabotage missions that the British Special Air Service carried out in WWII in Africa and in Europe. You will blow up factories, gather intelligence... that kind of thing.

I have some early screenshots from the 2nd Rangers campaign in Normandy. My next preview will have more screenshots and details on the various units and squad types.

It's been a pleasure as always.
