Preview Creating this for the TigSource demakes compeition found at: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=2376.0

I decided to go with a Crash Bandicoot demake [old favourite of mine] and recreating it as if it was made for the original Gameboy. Think Crash 3 bonus levels in 4 colours with a floor. Hopefully it'll inspire me to actually finish creating a game ;D

It's pretty much exactly the same as crash bandicoot [running, jumping and spinning] but i plan to use Crash Bandicoot 3 level themes.

I haven't come up with a name nor something 'special' to add to the game mechanics though.

A little montage of what i've been working on in the past week.

Top Left: Shows the scorpion, New Hand 'Em High background and the monkey bar graphics.

Top Right: Shows the monkey bars and trampolines.

Bottom Left: Shows the wumpa fruit lying around!

Bottom Right: Shows a wumpa fruit in the motion of being 'collected'. They fly towards the counter like in Crash 3 and if you spin into them then they fly away.

Few glitches to work out this week [should be relativily simple] And i intend to do some work on the next two enemis in the Hang 'em high style of level

I decided i'd make a concentrated effort to get some/all of this game finished for you veiwing pleasure.

Anyways, i've started designing the engine and stuff for the level style Hang 'em High.

got 5% more finished in my opinion, even though all this i would consider to be the easier portion of the game creation.

We have the background and platforms graphics along with a fully funcitonal scorpion and trampoline

That leaves the monkey bars graphics and physics, wumpa fruit collecting [why it took me this long to get round to this i don't know] and some speed/graphical tweaks next to be completed.

Preview

With the help of Jon & George Lambert i managed to nail down a goat sprite :] He's not animated yet but neevrmind. We also have a wizard that shoots orbs added into the mix.

I've also started building level one and have possibly got about 1/2 way through it. The engine is pretty much complete and is fairly solid. Tried to keep it playing like a fairly basic platformer with a hint of puzzle :]

I've got a few screenies to show. The basic engine is complete which allows you to move, spin and jump on boxes [shown in the screenshot]

Ive also found out drawing goats is rather hard.
