i've been on this site for two years and my sig has contained that link the entire time. why would i remove it now?

if this "impressionable n00b" as tho_odin describes him comes here and sees my sig, goes to my website and it changes how he behaves, we have to ask ourselves, do we really want a member that stupid on this site? my website does not reflect my behavior on DC. how many times do i have to say that! btw you can speak your mind, i'm not into deleting accounts just because the owner doesn't like me o_O.

"if anything it should be removed because it's a fucking dumb website"

since when did DC have quality control?

Pete, just put a warning that says "Do not enter unless you are over 18". Only harm that would do is scare your parents/relatives into thinking that you're hosting a porn site. No need to remove it from your sig, I thought nobody looked at that anyway.

The thing is, TDC is run by an authoritarian governmental system. If people don't like it, ShadowCaster can just put them in the Sin Bin. If a 50% of DC members revolt, the admins can just ban them all.

Democracy does not exist in a world of anarchy. The internet in itself is anarchy. It is with few masters, and those who are masters have the power of gods. They could just ban someone, and the only thing that person could do is change identities and come back.

Thus, the only way to remove Pete from power is to give a personal mail to the Greater Admins, who have power over the Lesser Admins. Posting a forum post about it only gives your victim a chance to gather up a mob and defend himself.

Down with democracy! May ShadowCaster's supreme reign last a thousand years!

An old account of mine, recently cleared out. It's a blast to the past, the age was marked as 14 when I found it. If you know where to look, you can track me. Au revoir.

FireMonkey responded to me? -Faints-

Ok, i've gone ahead and looked at mostly everything, and i'm on Nattress' side, mostly becuase his website isn't really that worse than other sites i've seen (read: mostly German sites, for some reason), and Nattress looks like a responsible person online, moreso than other admins I had to deal with.

The site is in no way connected to TDC except for obvious reasons (e.g. Nattress being both a TDC Admin AND the webmaster of the site in question). Pete put in the meta tags in, so if parents have web-blockers, the blockers will automatically lock the site. If parents don't have a web-blocker, it's not his problem. The only thing i'd suggest to Nattress is that he put up a warning stating that you should view the web site at your own risk, and that's to prevent lawsuits.

I still think that Admins should follow rules, and should follow closely. As close as a Catholic follows the Old and New Testament. (I just know I started a Religious Flame-War)

You should all just chill the hell out. If klikking is such a big part of your life that you have to complain about the personal habits of an admin that have nothing to do with DC, why don't you just make your own community website? Or... you could just go get a life.

But they are so expensive... I think the admins should follow the rules becuase that's what admins normally do, however if they don't want to, they don't have to, becuase they are admins. Also, posting about it doesn't do any good .

LOL. Where'd you get the idea that admins follow the rules? As far as I know, I think just about every admin here (cept the noble WCB) has broken at least one rule, directly or indirectly. I've started more than a few flaming threads back in my noob days.

I think I'm going to start my own site about penises and have articles on shit. Literally shit.

I say bring back Ashman, at least he made us laugh when he broke the rules. Saying that he was the ultimate role model for children. After his rant about his "13 incher" I heard one guy say that because of Ashman his brother or something about 5 years old runs around shouting "I like to do it on all fours"

I hadn't heard anything so funny. Ashman, role model of the young and restless? Get his ass back in power I say!

If Ashman was here now, he's start a petition to bring himself back. But he's not, so let's make our own one!

I say we make DC points a form of currency that can be used to purchase eAlcohol, which is kinda like the real stuff but it makes your computer/internet browser react in wierd and wonderful ways making surfing the site all the more interesting and arousing.

eAlcohol reminds me of that V-Cade cola thing. That was piss funny.

So yeah, DC points should be used as currency. You gain them by posting threads and replies, along with the usual stuff. You can use the points to buy stuff like V-Cade cola recipes and h4x0r 1337 avatars and discounts off TDC store purchases.

I appreciate the support Broomie, and while I agree that the thing with the kid saying about doing it on all fours was in fact, the most hilarious thing ever lol, here's the rub people...
