This post is about 3D Game Studio, not 3D Studio Max.

My opinion is that 3DGS is better than Jama, but only if you get Pro. I find the C Sxript easier to use and the default platform style movement is better (CT has never been too talented with platform movements, have they?)

CT kinda messed up putting too much stuff in their products. They've got all these features that conflict. Examples are hotspots, the default platform movement, and box collision off. Spells disaster, and that's what all the newbies do. CT did make the advanced platform movement object though, so give them some credit.

And yes, I'm aware that the 3D collision in Jamagic is crap. They should really add different types of collision(example: Terrain, Terrain collision would only have one layer of polygons, so would be really simple(and accurate) to make.)

This is about 3D Game Design, not 3D Modelling!
