It would be nice if clickteam saw this topic and realized how terrible their customer support has been and do something about it.

how is their customer support terrible? they clearly say on their website they no longer provide help for TGF. JP was lucky enough to get a response to his initial email, for christ's sake, they were not under any obligation to send him one.

It is terrible because they say they dont support products they still sell.
With only minor bugs left wich they could easily fix in 5 minutes.

one of the reasons they dont support it is because they made alot better vrsion of it (MMF), i mean why fix the problem in the old(TGF) if the new(MMF) already has it fixed?

That's not terrible customer support. If you don't read the disclaimers they show you before you buy the product, it's your own fault for being lazy. They state clearly that they don't support the product. How exactly can you complain about it?

Anyways, you'd be hard pressed to find another company where the members are as active in the community as Clickteam is.

If people put in a 'no refunds' label in tiny words over some program which had great support and ratings, and then the program doesn't work, I'd call it a scam. I see how JP has every right to be pissed off.

Muz: Except that in this case it's useless sliderbars that none of the experts ever use? Sucks, but custom platform movements are a way around it.

The animation slidebars aren’t useless, even with a custom movement you need to be able to controll the animation speed.

Thank god for muz, a credible person sticking up for the little guy.

Anne-Marie: No, they have to share one.

Right, but I'd be whining too if my brand new car had a hole in its dashboard and the car salesman told me to get a new one.

If the customer support people take the time to reply to someone about the product, they could at least be helpful. I have emailed clickteam about mmf before too and have never got help. They just act like the question you asked is stupid and to explain it better, and when you do you dont hear from them again. That is how it has been for me every time. Most customer support services are the same, I have gone through the same thing sending support questions to ebay and dell as well. Some people just dont care.

The reason why they do all this has been explained again and again in this thread.

1. TGF is old. They do not support technical program bug reports for it. Only in MMF.

2. People still want TGF because there are some people who cannot (for some reason) figure out how to use MMF's interface (Read: They don't want to spend the time to study it and get used to it). Why stop selling a product that people still want to buy, even though you've moved on? It's profit. It's the customer's fault for buying it, and especially more so the customer's fault for buying it if their reason to buy it is "Well I can't stand MMF's interface..." or the like.

3. TGF IS OLD! TGF is not a new car. It is a used car (or old car model) with bugs, kinks, and safety issues that new car models do not have!

4. TGF IS OLD TECHNOLOGY! IT IS AN OLD PROGRAM! IT IS NOT SOMETHING BRAND NEW!

5. OLD PROGRAM! OLD BUGS! NEW PROGRAM! NEW FIXES TO OLD BUGS! MMF >>> TGF!

6. Broken record! Broken record! Broken record! Broken record! Broken record! Broken record!

7. Through buying even shoes I have come to learn... A $20 pair of shoes doesn't last as long nor feels as good at the ones I bought later for $80. Not to mention the $20 pair of shoes I bought for work only lasted a couple months, where as the $80 pair of shoes have lasted me almost a full year now so far. Understand that? Pay more, expect more. Pay less, expect less.
