how do i replace the little start menu image thingy that says what version of windows you have. cuz i got this desktop theme that comes with a custom start menu image and it gave me a site but the site doesnt work. plz help!

You can use a program called Resource Hacker. As far as i remember, you gotta use this program and open a file called logonui.exe in your windows\system32 dir...find your way to the start menu icon and replace it

i cant find a logonui.exe file on my hard drive. im using windows 98

Get a program that can read image information from files (including icon files) and go through your system folder until you find it. I dont know about 98, but it's most likely in your system directory.
