Everyone has their leave sometime... i just dont know why they feel obligated to tell the comunity that "hey i just realized there are more important things in life then kliking... so i will be leaving the community... for good..."
most of the time its a either a fake leave or a holiday leave... you eventually come back 0_o besides the internet does not follow the rules of the space time continuim... or whatever... it just means that you could be off the net a week and no one would notice... 0_o a week isnt very long anyway...
I think the only times you should say goodbye is
1.the feds are nocking on your door
2.someone is going to kill you
3.you are going to kill someone
4.your moveing to a forgen contry that has no net...
5.you realized there are more importent things in life then this...
of course this is just a joke on my part sort like comic releaif.. with out the releaiff... part...
its not like its an addiction..

You WILL come back. Its not as easy as you think, leaving. There's always that nagging pull. If it were that easy I'd have left all you young upstarts years ago 
PS: Only if you're really well known and been in the community for ages should you publically announce your retirement. Otherwise people really won't care. It sounds harsh, but I speak from experience, my own, and many others.
