One thing I think everyone likes about klik is that it is sooooooooo easy... but it does have its downsides...

when I was a hardcore vb programer I like that I could write code anywere, then just save to a 3 1/2floppy... but ever since i started i have been restricted to working on computers that only have ct software...

thus I have decided to develop my own software (infact it is already in its early stages) It will have the simplicity of klik software with the acces ability of being able to work anywere and simply upload your code to the net...

Now I know that most people like klik because there is no actual programing required (were you have to type) but let me tell you that it will just as simple!

I think that the code would have to be just as elementry as ct software so here is an example...
''
(Startoflevel)+(GValue)="5"
[action]= Set (GValue) To "4"
''
Pretty simple right? I think that in the end it will look much like VB6 more of a object orented programing languadge... but unlike klik it will have the capabilities to expand as the user learns...

Well thats enough hype, the project is meant to have 3 versions
- 1 a learning version (unlike ct software)
- 2 a standerd version (not to sell games or apps)
- 3 a network version (meant to be shared on a network)
- and a pro version (so you can sell your games or apps)

I really dont need any help, I think Ill do it in Vb, but I might need Beta testers- If anyone really wants to help or be a beta tester just tell me!

Sounds fun. I'll give it a go. While you're at it... could I see the source code as well?

Yeah, ever since I started klikking I've been losing my VB skills. I've forgotten the action that allows you to select certain buttons on toolbars now! The only thing new I've learned is loops, and just barely.

I see what you're tying to get at. But wouldn't be using something like Jamagic and those game maker "Basic" differeniates be easier?

Besides that, Sure... I guess I'll try it out.

It is in vb. Ill give the source code to people who I can trust (as I plan on makeing some cash ^ see above)
Right now I have the menus done and forums, but I now see that... well this is going to be quite big
so I might be able to put a alpha shell out in a week, then a beta in a month if I work hard...

I would personaly be rather surprised if you were able to meet that beta release. I remember making interpereters when I was quite a bit younger. I enjoy beta testing innovative products, and I would be more than happy to test the developments.

Thanks.

Not a problem at all PHAROH, you should send your IDE my way, and I could give you a few tips on the interface design.

I tried making a game in Visual Basic a couple of days ago, but I was foiled somewhat when I realised that I'd forgotten every single thing about it.

Your project sounds interesting - two things that the Click products could use are sequences (rather than just checking for events), and multiple objects with sequences - multi-threading, in a way. Forgive me if I'm not making sense, but I'm tired so I'll waffle on anyway. What I mean is something like the "ZZT" language, but without its limitations. OK, I'll stop now.

I'll try! But, the standard & network versions are free, right?
