I see what you're getting at. It seems to work on YouTube. But IMHO, it's not going to work, but it's a closer knit community here where trolls form gangs. People like Phizzy, Muz, and BrandonC are going to be voted down regardless of the comment's truth
And anyway.. seeing how things votes work on the Articles, there tends to be a lot of cliques and group mentality. Voting on comments will exaggerate this a bit.
Let's put it this way.. imagine if you could vote on a comment, then vote on the vote of that comment, and vote on the vote on the vote of that comment. The more degrees you put to it, the more likely it is for a troll to not give up. Getting to -10 votes is much, much easier for trolls than it is for non-trolls.
TDC's vigilante mobs have always worked fine on uncalled posts anyway
