I have an MMF2 (regular) application that uses the String Parser 2 extension. Whenever I run the application, everything is fine.

However, when I send the application to my girlfriend, she sees an error message saying "Cannot load parser.mfx. This object might need an external program or library not yet installed."

After a while of searching on Google and trying various things, I still can't figure out what's wrong.

Please help if you can.

Thanks a lot,
Me.

She needs the parser extension. www.clickteam.com has bunches of websies that have extensions so you may find it there.

Thanks for the reply.

The parser extension is parser.mfx, right? That seems like a stupid question, but I ask because I've tried sending that file to her along with the application and the application still encounters the error.

Also, just to clarify, she does not have any Clickteam software.

But when I send the application plus the extension to her, it still encounters the error.

She needs to put it in her extensions folder.

She doesn't have an extension folder. She doesn't have any Clickteam product whatsoever.

If it's an exe, I think you should find the extension, put it in oyur runtime folder, and build the game again. I THINK that will solve it.

I could not build the application without parser.mfx in my runtime folder to begin with, so it's already there.

Yes but one folder is for the accual application itself, and not MMF2. So you can have it in one and not the other.

The application has no folder. It is a stand-alone, not an installer (as I believe them to be the devil).
