What's yours then?

I get a lot of inspiration from music but I don't like it too distracting so I listens to Tangerine Dream, Lemon Jelly, and bits of Tormi's soundtrack by MrPineapple. Or just put the PSP internet radio thingy on and play Ambience for coding and Jpop for art. I don't even know what they're singing!

Loads of stuff.

I usually listen to mods I've selected to put in my latest game to see if they fit the levels properly.

It's surprisingly inspirational to do that.

I don't usually have anything on, so I can think straight. Sometimes I'll have some music that's going into the game on, though, I'm working with a band at the moment and the music is excellent!

I have put an awful lot of electric six on recently, though...

Disney music, musicals, happy music, dark music, classical etc. Depends on what style of game I'm working on.

Most often I listen to my "4 stars and above" start playlist in iTunes. (Yeah, I'm one of those iTunes music organisation freaks.. but it has its advantages!) Mostly that list consists of instrumental music of some description; game music, electronic, jazz and classical.

James, you might also like Felix Laband and xerxes. (Electronic/Ambient)

I listen to my recently added playlist in iTunes usually... That or some beat heavy dance/electronic stuff - Ain't got much ambient really... I guess Soundtrack To A Vacant Life - The Flashbulb and This Binary Universe - BT count as that though.

Really varies on what I'm doing! Hard work -> less distracting music.

Radiohead usually because its quiet (compared to my other music)

Anything without lyrics is good, because I have an annoying habit of breaking into song. I have to bite my tongue when I'm listening to my iPod on the train...
