Who would be up for a mini-competition with the theme; "No active objects"?

I'd like to see a handful of games designed around text blitter and overlay workarounds. It could potentially be very neat.

I'd be up for that, even though I've only ever had a tiny bit of experience with any of those objects. There'll be another competition tomorrow (Sunday) if you're interested, btw.

Ahhh you hid it in the same thread as the last one, I see.

Yeah, we should save this idea for the next time up

-edit: heck, you could use it this time around if you want, unless you had something else in mind. I'd be itching for some vector graphics in MMF's overlays

Hmm, that's not a bad idea. I have a few other theme ideas but I haven't decided on one yet. I wouldn't like to give the theme away here, a day early, anyway

btw, I didn't know you had MMF, I thought you were a TGF guy to the death!

If you can do it with TGF1 and win, you get MMF2 Developer for free.

Haha, I do remember there being a Drawline extension for TGF, though.
We should have a competition to make a game in K&P sometime. Is the Educational version still free to download?

Hrmm I got mine when it was new out, so if it really is still shareware now (I know it used to be when I taught some classes in the summer with it) I'd be willing to host the file myself. Otherwise a quick google search for "Klik and Play" seems to turn up a download link as the 2nd result.

I think there was a KNP competition a few years ago. Can you still download KNP?
