Anyways... To be honest, the admins run the site - they can really do what they want without explanation, whether they should give you an explanation as to why they did or not, they certainly don't have to. You need to respect that really, even though it is unfair, the admins rule the roost in dictatorship here because that's the way it works online :\
I've had it done to me plenty of times at other forums, when requiring help or information on something, my topic has been removed for whatever bizzare reasons they had... though I just posted it again
An admin or two are actually hestitant to make any changes around the site, (which would enhance the site), because one or two members will kick up a fuss about it and effectively feel bullied!!! Ok, so they shouldnt care what one or two members think.. but they dont want the hassle :\ I've posted this before somewhere too not long ago, and I think Shab locked it..
I dunno who deleted it and why, but really we should respect the admins and their decisions and contributions and respect their choices for deleting and moderating the site as a whole, as it wouldn't be here without them... that's just the way it is and how it should be really! That's what I think - Leave 'em alone
No Tim, that's not the way it works. A successful community (like clickteam's forums( works with mutual understanding between the people that run it and the members, it's not a powermad BAN BAN BAN DELETE DELETE DELETE situation.
Community in which there are unbannable people, who also likes to make offtopic, simply is not a community with future. You are not the only one who would complain about having a topic deleted, but would you be happy if there were let's say 10 complain topics from UNKNOWN users? This would be annoying for you and administration as well.
Administrators of TDC makes a very good job. Just think about recent changes:
-> quotes, youtube embedding, or such adorable emoticons like
-> 'projects' section
-> 'polls' section
-> and a lot more you know better
What is more administrators aren't showing off with their powers. Well, we should be actually grateful that they continue to do a very good job and don't try to disturb them .

Actually it's more like a LOCK LOCK LOCK LOCK LOCK LOCK situation. The only two threads I posted there ended up locked without any reason given.
Yay, another "why is my topic or whatever deleted?" That figures.
I think it's more a matter of etiquette for admins to put up reasons for locking/deleting/editing stuff. I find it kinda rude when it happens. Not to mention, some people will get angry if it happens when it seems it's for no reasons.
If the admins would be so nice to put up reasons why they delete stuff, these kind of shitty topics and mails wouldn't even exist. Well not that I think this is shitty (I think this topic is useful ), but more in the perspective from the admins. Post reasons, and you don't get stuff like "What happened to my topic??? Wah wah wah, etc." Not to mention that the next time it happens, the same thing will repeat because they won't learn.
I see a forums that do post reasons for deletion (eg when they delete flames and every response to flames) and I think it's so much nicer because it clears up A LOT.
