Yes, when I threw out the playstation fanboy magazines that gave the outlier reviews, the average score for heavenly sword was a 7 or 7.5 /10, and lair about 5. But thats a major flop for something thats supposed to compete with zelda/metroid/mario/super smash bros/halo3. And Lair couldn't have been much worse.

Remote Play sounds like the dogs bollocks. I am very impressed at that, just a shame I'd never be able to use it on my 512kbps connection and lack of wifi in places this would be great for (buses and the like).

Nintendo's big 3 (or could it be 4 now?) are Galaxy, Prime 3, Smash Bros and Mario Kart.

I suppose the 360 also has that BioShock. I don't like it much but the world seems to have gone ape for it.

I tend not to be influenced by reviews at all. I try to find a demo, a playthrough movie, or just the game's name/theme/creator and I'll almost always buy a good game.

Nintendo definately got the good end of that Rare deal.

Perfect Dark Zero was a piece of trash. I'm concerned that they're still aparently making Killer Instinct 3, 2 and Gold left a horrible taste in my mouth; and my sucky game sense is already tingling in regards to KI3.

They were awesome in the 8bit days when they were called 'Ultimate' ive actually got one of their old games on the Amstrad cpc. And isometric adventure/puzzler called Knightlore.
They made loads of isometric games on the ZX Spectrum.

Actually later versions of the Master System 1 had games built in too. Hang On, Hang On/Safari Hunt, Missile Defense 3D and Alex Kidd in Miracle World all appeared as built-in games on the first SMS. All versions of the Master System 2 has a built in game, either Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Sonic 1 or Lion King.

To make thing more confusing, the brazilian Master System 2 uses the Master System 1 design with a Master System 2 bios, while their Master System 3 is the equivelent of the rest of the world's Master System 2.

All the Master Systems I saw had that Alex the Kid built in. Weren't half bad either! Might have to get it if it crops up on the Virtual Console.

I believe it just got released on VC in the US, so I imagine that a EU release can't be far off.

I want to get Streets of Rage 2 and Golden Axe from XBLA (unlike on Virtual Crapsole, they actually got new features like online play)

I agree with you enitrly, Phred. I bought sonic the hedgehog on the VC but wish I had gotten the XBLA version for the achievements and online score board. Also you can adjust the screen size. Isn't the XBLA one cheaper, too?

Yes, the XBLA versions actually has effort put into them. The VC games are just bare-bones emulations.

Of all systems, I'd rather play Sonic on my Xbox. Why? See this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=1vAuLc4cFJw

I'm waiting for the Fatal Fury and King of Fighter's Games to hit the VC. Of course, I have no clue how big these are going to be; I'd imagine pretty hefty though (MB wise).
