Safari now downloads with apple update So if you are updating itunes/quicktime and you dont click the checkbox to not get it... you get it.
It's a bit of a pain because it doesn't render the same as IE and firefox More hacks I suppose

I hate apple 'update', I intentionally downloaded Quicktime without iTunes and it pops up every day trying to force me to download iTunes. I'll probably just delete quicktime if it keeps doing it, it's shit anyway.
Davince - they did port it over. They even ported over some of the Core technology in OSX. It just doesn't have the same underlying features in OSX like spellchecker, plus the direct port showed some vulnerabilities in Windows too. They should have actually spent time in getting it close to the OSX version. I suppose that's what the finished product is for.
Chances are they'll turn up soon enough. Doesn't Safari instal portions on Bonjour on a Windows system? You can see this in the file sizes of the installers. It's tiny in OSX because it relies on tech within the OS.
well i used safari on a mac for a short while- long enough to know what its like and switched to Fire Fox then (on a mac). overall i think they ported Safrai PERFECTLY!
Apple did an AWESOME job. Im a Mac user so i know what macs are like- they crash the whole time and NOTHING works fine at all. Now windows users can experience how much fun it is to use a mac program- its just like being on the mac: complete shit.
thx @ apple

I heard that the Mac OSes are not much better when it comes to stability. Just opinions, though.
Heard wrong. I'm running both systems and XP isn't as stable as OSX.
edit: though it is to be expected. OSX limits the hardware you can use (has to be OSX certified graphics cards, AFAIK only CoreSolo+ CPUs) so it's built solid for the hardware it can use.
It's still in beta, fools
Public beta. A public beta should be very nearly completely functional with only minor glitchage. This is rushed for the sake of hype.
well whats the point in having a stable system if the programs close itself all the time/crash the whole time. im talking about the CS2 programs on OSX- great the OS probably wont crash (which it does as well and its way worse than win crashing) but it will close all my programs without a warning- thx
