I blame Eternal Entertainment for the sudden surge of off topic posts.

Shame on you.

I have labeled the Global Value as "EXP" because that is going to keep track of my character's experience. When I "Retrieve Data From An Object"->"Special"->"Retrieve A Global Value"->select "EXP"->it types in the box "EXP" without the quotes. I click "Check Current Expression" and the box directly below says "Syntax error." If I click "OK" it says "Cannot understand your expression. Please correct it or choose CANCEL."

Here is a screen shot of the error:

I think EXP is a reserved value or function. Just change the name and you should be fine.

Well yeah, because exp() is a reserved function to get an exponent. Use a different name.

'Exp' is reserved for the exponential function. Don't use names that are already in use, such as: sin, cos, log, abs, X, Y, timer etc etc. Of course you get an error, noob

Edit: woops, looks you like you guys were faster in responding
