Is there any way to do this? 1x windowed is too small when using a large resolution and 320x200 full screen doesn't work very well with some video cards.

You can use the "Change Resolution Mode". It's in the properties of the main application form. This will make the thing go full screen and change the screen resolution to suit the game, making it full screen.

Thats probably the best way to do it as far as I know.

Also, make sure that the "Maximised on boot-up" option is enabled as well.

Use the window control extension, you can resize the window to whatever you want.

"SoldjahBoy did you read what I said at all? "

Yes, but your fragmented sentences and lack of punctuation and proper explanation of your problem left me a little confused. Next time I won't bother trying to help.

Good day.

AndyUK: Yes, but I managed to do it already using the window control extension.

SoldjahBoy: What would have been a proper explanation? The term "double pixel mode" is very common and quite self-explanatory. If I wanted to know how to make a game run in full screen I would have asked how to make a game run in full screen. In this case I however stated in my post that I DON'T want to run the game in full screen because of certain graphics card problems with low resolutions. Your claim that I should have used more punctuation is just stupid, and very off-topic.

It's true, he made perfect sense if you didn't read over it like super-quick.

I read it 10 times and still don't understand in the context of his sentence, though his facaecious attitude has clued me into (I think) what he means.... if 320x240 is too small but full screen mode doesn't work, why ruin the game by pixel doubling anyway? Why don't you jkust make it 640x480 and be done with it?

Also, it's not a video card issue, its an OS issue. Any video card will do any resolution that low, but most newer OS's are what cause the problem with the video driver.

Lastly, I never said use MORE puncuation, just use it period. It's far easier to understand what you are talking about when it's not one huge long sentence like this that goes on and on and never really explains the full situation in the first place anyway like the fact that your game was in 320x240 but I didn'ty realise it because you just assumed someone would get it? *phew*

See what I mean?

Anyway, I hope you solve your problem...

*Sigh*..

How well explained Evil-Villes post was does not matter at all, what matters is that SoldjahBoy just simply misunderstood which could happen to anyone at anytime, and Evil-Ville should just say "Thank you for trying to help" and then end of discussion.

@SoldjahBoy: You make little to no sense at all, for one, the structure of a sentence, especially his, doesn't usually have much to do with how well you can understand it, unless it's extremely screwed up, which his isn't. Punctuation makes even less a difference, it just makes things look clean, so the fact that you tried to use that in defense is just pointless whining. In addition to that, you claim to have read the text 10x, which leads me to believe that you read it 9 more times after having been pointed out that you must not have read it clear enough. I say this, because unless you've had tried to put an honest effort into reading what he said, or you just seriously suck at reading, there is no reason why you would read it that many times, without just hitting the back button and going about your life. With that said, for someone who's so hell bent on the writing of others, you neglected to read over your own text, leaving you, yourself, with a couple errors as well.

As far as your theory that making a 320x240 game, 640x480, the solution to anyone's problem, goes. I think I'm going to have to disagree. In 3D games, this will make things better, especially considering the graphics will be much more crisp and cleaner. 2D games however, unless they are very HD graphics, resized to fit the resolution (which I have seen before), you will find that a game with the resolution of 640x480 will only increase how much you see, and will not increase the size of the sprites. This leaves two problems, the first is that the player will visually see more of the play field then what was originally intended by the developer, and the second is that the sprites will still be small and difficult to see.
Putting the game in a 'double pixel mode' would increase the size of the pixels, obviously, which increases the size of everything on the screen, but not to the extent of being full screen. This means things will be easier to see , regardless if it's a little blockier. It's very clear, even if the rest doesn't make sense, that he said "and 320x200 full screen doesn't work very well" that he did not want to use full screen, so the idea that you misunderstood that is a load.

You can choose to read all that if you want, but if you decide not to, just get this sentence. If you don't plan to help people without having something negative to say when they claim that your help wasn't entirely useful, you best not even attempt to help at all. Don't take this as a personal attack at you, just understand what I'm saying.

Thank you Spiriax... that's basically what I was getting at anyway.

@BrandonC
Don't worry mate, I'm not easily offended. I understand what you are saying, and it's like water off a ducks back. I was just irritated that my attempt to offer a solution was biggoted with "Can you read?". Doesn't really make you feel like helping anymore... and though I found his sentence confusing, I understood the words that were in it, but obviously failed to realise the key point that his game was already built in 320x240 as it was, I guess, assumed that the reader already knew that.

Anyway, enough crap. I'm not here to fight.

Feel the love brother.

Hmm, whether a computer can handle 320x200 depends on the monitor, actually.
