i'm pretty sure the gameboy has a z80, could be wrong
but i think you're right about the master system using it.
anyway i had many good times playing the old Amstrad still have well over 300 cassettes with games on, mostly crap though but at £1.99 per game it didn't matter much.

Custom 8-bit Sharp Z80 at 4.194304 MHz (has a slightly different instruction set than a standard Z80, and integrated sound generation)

I knew one of them was 6502 based  - i'll let everyone now i how get with my "Development Console" i will not start building until next June/July - got too much crap on for now.
Hayo: Cartridge Popping up fault (grey screen and blinking led of doom), or was the edge connector buggered? - you used to be able to buy new edge connectors.

@Hagar: Yeah the 72 pin connector was being a bitch so I got a new one, it works great..now I have to find out whats wrong with my old SNES.

My NES needs some alcohol on the connectors now and again, but otherwise all my consoles that aren't chunks of shit work fine. By chunks of shit I of course refer to anything manufactured by Sony.
