"Hey dustin, what point? Are you saying you can act like a jerk as long as it's toward someone who is deemed uncool?"

What the hell are you talking about? This isn't elementary school and I'm not making a social statement about Circy's tennis shoes here. He's "uncool" because he has the propensity to act like a defensive prick.

@Dustin gunn, can you blame the guy for being defensive?
Anyway I wanted to know what "The point" is? It seemed you were on the circy bashing side simply because he was "not cool", Sorry if i was wrong.

Hmm well amazingly enough, if I act all defensive its usually for a just cause. Circy 3 was a just cause. The Klik-Me MSD review perhaps wasn't a just cause, and I think thats what Dustin and Radix are basing their arguments on. Well, thats the earliest example I can remember. But generally if I've been defensive over the last year, its been for good reason.

I wanna be an ACBR too. And an anti Pete Nattress-bashing rebel. And an anti Rikus-bashing rebel. And an anti Phiz... er, never mind. But the other 3.

May our armored bandwagons tear theirs to shreds!

MasterM: Circy got a frowny face about something. Then some brown-noser came along and stuck up for him. Then nobody cared, but everybody felt compelled to say something for some reason, especially me. 5 pages later back and forth of "Nuh-uh, *YOU'RE* a poopyface," and here we all are.

In the future, a good way not to have your feelings hurt by people on the internet is to keep in mind that you will probably never meet any of them and that their thoughts and opinions can have as little bearing on your life as you would like.

I don't agree you shouldn't get offended by stuff said on the internet. Why should it be any different just because you'll probably never meet the person face to face. If a newsreader on TV read out an announcement saying you're a cunt, you'd be more than a little miffed. If someone sent you a letter saying you're a prick, you probably wouldn't be too pleased.

Its because people like that use the internet as a shield; they know full well they won't get punched in the face. Can you honestly say that if I turned up to a click convention that you'd insult me to my face in the way its been done here?

Calm down dears, it's just the internet! This is not real life!

If you can honestly say that you are the same person online as offline then by all means argue, bitch and flame. But we are not the same offline as online. So all this is fooking pointless.

There's no reason why you shouldn't be offended by stuff people say on the internet. But it does have much less impact than someone saying it to your face, for example. The lack of tone and some removal of context will also affect how you react to it. Say someone tells you to "fuck off" on a message board. If you take it as a jovial comment, and that will depend a lot on your personality, then of course it won't affect you. Take it as serious and you may be somewhat abashed. And of course, you can't always be sure that you've interpreted it correctly. So I partly agree with defenestrator and partly with Trev. Call it a third party vote.

Im a different person online as i am probably more outspoken compared to in the real world. But when ive annoyed someone i usually apologise, thats me.
I guess some people like to have a laugh at others expense , its just the way they are.

Circy is the coolest admin ever aside from Rikus. But its a close one!

"Actually sir, we found a tiny unicorn in your exhaust. It was jumping around poking holes in your gas tank." "Oh thank you I did not know that. A tiny unicorn? Wow."
