Here's the best I can come up with: When the ball drops off the bottom of the screen, stop its movement. While the ball is stopped, set its X position to (position of paddle), and set its Y position to Y position to (position of paddle) - 16. When user presses left mouse button + Ball is stopped, start ball movement and set its direction to either up-left or up-right. I'm not sure how much of that KNP can cope with, but it should give you something to start with. http://www.davidn.co.nr - Games, music, living in America

If you did, you'd know how to use the Set Position action (useful here), Set Direction, and testing the position of the ball - which is all you need. n/a

Not a game, just little tutorial for yourself... then learn extensions then break out of 8 direction movement and blah blah and make your own custom movements....THEN if you wanna make a breakout game do it. i suggest not though. thinking is like pong, it's easy, but you miss sometimes.
