Hmm? Oh yes, reviewing. I remember that.

This game tells the story of a man called Aaron, on the mission to... well, I'm not sure just now. Beat up drug dealers and find aliens, I think, that was as far as I got.

After a slightly obvious help screen (press left and right to move left and right, up and down to move up and down) the game opens with your character sliding around a town running errands for people. I say "sliding" because he doesn't have a walking animation. I'm not someone who thinks that graphics matter a whole lot - after all, I still think that ZZT is a great game - but it still seems slightly awkward to me. What doesn't animate is fairly well drawn, though.

After the usual adventuring, delivering things to people, and so on (one of which I won't even ask why the author put it in there) the game jumps to a cut-scene. There are fairly well done in an old SNES game sort of way, but don't rely on much animation to tell the story.

Then there's a fight sequence. Fighting, in this case, means running around in circles for 70 seconds while someone else chases after you, Benny Hill style. Events like these in the game are fairly common, and unfortunately they're fairly dull as well - mostly repetitive and too long, with surviving being the only objective. I quit in frustration during one of them, after I decided that I didn't want to spend the rest of the afternoon dodging tomatoes.

The game is reasonably entertaining and does show some promise, but the non-adventuring sections are really its downfall. One of them did have a great MIDI in the background, though. I suspect it might have been from Mega Man or something.
