Presentation:

As soon as the game starts you can tell this is a mario fangame. The title music is from mario 64 (i think) and the graphics are all either taken (ripped) or drawn in the style of marios commercial outings. There is a nice watery effect when the enemies drop into the sea for whatever reason.

Gameplay:

This is mario. It plays almost exactly the same as the actual mario games, the creator must have spent a long time playing the proper mario games to get it all right and it almost is but there are a few problems that can easily be sorted before the full game is done.
Of course this is only a engine test/demo so the level layout isnt supposed to be perfect and it isnt but you can still enjoy the demo while it lasts.

Graphics:

This one is hard to judge. Some people would automatcially give this a 0 due to the unoriginal graphics but personally i like seeing well 'ripped' graphics. If the actual game has good graphics in the first place how can the fangame look bad?
Lets face it a mario fangame would look weird if the creator drew their own style, we are so used to seeing nintendo style mario.

Sound and music:

Again totally taken from marios commercial games. They are midi or mod remixes, im not sure which and obviously suit the game and the sounds are all in place so i can't complain.

Lastability:

Well this is a demo so it wont last for long but i did play through a few times before getting to the end.
Lets hope the full game has a nice learning curve. A level like this should be in the middle somewhere.

Overall:

A solid fangame (well compared to the fangame stereotype goes this is brilliant!) I hope to see a full game sometime.
