Review: Unknown Game 4250
JULI@N: has made a brand new and hideiously addictive game, entitled "Doodles ." Doodles is one of the strangest games I have ever played; its hard to find a really unique game now a days on the DC. Anyway, lets start, yes? =Great, =Good, and =Bad
PRESENTATION: The title screen is extreamly cool. The backround is a peice of paper and a giant pencil comes down onto the screen and draws the title and menu, while cool music plays. Theres not much to the level design; its just one screen where baddies attack you. Yay!
Pros: Great presentation, cool title screen.
Gameplay: This game used the custum built-in eight directions engine, but who cares? It worked well enough. The only problem is that the character is a bit too slow, and when you bump into baddies you bounce, so that you can just keep getting asulted by the bad guy over and over. The game-play itself is simple: You get a number of baddies that you have to eliminate, and then you progress to the next level. There are 10 levels, and 2 wickedly hard bosses!
Pros: Orignial and addictive game-play.
Cons: It can get frusterating as all heck! And sometimes, the gun that you use gets placed on a mine or in the middle of a swarm of baddies.
Graphics: The graphics are nice: cool, scribbley bad guys, (there's one that looks too me like the head of a butcherd cookie monster)and nice paper backrounds. The main character does look a bit like Kirby though...
Pros: Very unique graphics.
Sound and Music: When you emobilize a baddie, it makes an oddly satisfying noise. The sounds in all are very good; they fit the game very well. I like the music as well; it went along great with the levels.
Pros: Cool music and sound effects.
Lastiblity/Overall: This game will last forever! You can beat it and still not be satisfied, so you beat it again. The fun never stops! Yay!
All in all, DOODLES is one the greatest Click games I have ever played. NOTE TO THE CREATOR: THis would make a great Vitilze game!
