FPS = First Person Shooter = you look through the characters' eyes
Is this game really going to be a FPS game? ... or did you mean 3rd person shooter? ..
3rd person = the camera follows the character and you actually see the character, (usually from an angled view from above and behind or over the shoulder when dealing with shooting games) ...
In many commercial games today, you can actually switch between the 2 views.
Will you allow for that?
It will be nice to see a FPS game if that's what you're truly making.
Blood of the Ancient One, Seen only as Shadow, Faster than Lightning, Fierce as the Greatest Dragon, Nearly Invisible, Floating in a Dream, Entered through the Demon Door, Destroyer of Evil in a Realm with a Red Sky Scarred, Who could I be ?
Nope, it will really be a First Person Shooter.
I did thought of making it possible to have a 3d person view but at least for now I'll leave it as it is because sadly the deadline is too tight (only 2 weeks) so having a fully working FPS in 2 weeks will already be a pretty massive piece of work, I can't afford to add such a big feature.
However I plan on using the code for future projects, and then I'll be able to add a 3rd person view.
And Rob Rule, you're right, you can make a good FPS in MMF2. If anyone saw, I am, and it's in really good condition. The only problem with MMF2 is it's pretty hard to make decent environments, unless you are really skilled.
looking forward to see how your project will turn out as I never played a full fps made in MMF2, I remember playing a small demo made in Mmf a few years back, but it never turned into anything, sadly.

Yours will be far better =D as MMF2 is clearly not designed for that intense of 3D games. I mean your environment is great as I saw in the YouTube video!
