After a few weeks (and a long vacation) I've been discussing this project over at Martin2K Forums. The community is great there, even if it is just a forum. That's where I met cakespear and he was very eager to lean lacewing, so I let him join the project so he could help me with it while i teach him how to create online games.
Cakespear knows some pretty cool things! At the moment he is creating a better custom movement involving fast loops and masks for the players. Furthermore, I'm starting to try to make the zombie AI by myself since no one seemed to offer to help... Hopefully the mass numbers of zombies will make up for the crappy AI. I intend to add different types of zombies as well. They're being drawn out at the moment. There will be:
Zombies with pistols
Big slow zombies that deal massive damage
Small fast zombies that come in great numbers
Zombies that are able to bury from the ground up near your position
The tougher zombies will come out in the later waves. I also fixed the wave counter and the zombie generator, so each round there will be a few more zombies then last time. Once you kill all of the zombies in the wave, the wave counter goes up and you'll have a ten second waiting time before the next wave starts!
Give a warm welcome to CakeSpear!
EDIT: Just found out that CakeSpear is good with AI! Yay!
