Project Overview
Hello, may I introduce myself. My name is Nioreh, I'm a proud user of klik products since 1994. I've only been making small games for myself or for fun to share with my friends. I was surfing the web about a week ago and came about the daily click. I saw that there was a christmas compo coming up and thought "Hey, I gotta win that thing!". That's how my first public release game came up, eight years after my first go at klik and play.

I started digging amongst my old unfinished games and found a game I had started on a couple of years ago based on a Macintosh came called shaft, a game that I have spent countless of hours playing at school, and up to this date, I haven't seen a PC conversion on it! I never needed one since I've always had a Macintosh, but I thought I had to share the game with the world. It's not a total reproduction of the original Shaft, but the basic idea is the same.

You are playing the part of Santa (yes, christmas compo you know), you find yourself in a shaft with all the ingredients of a Indiana Jones movie. No way out, a loong way to the bottom, spikes in the cieling constantly moving down towards you. If you don't act quick, you will most likely be crushed, but if you are too quick, you'll fall off the bottom of the screen and die that way. But wait! There's more. The blue platforms are great for stepping on, keeping you alive, but the red ones will hurt you. Regain lost hit points from the red blocks by jumping on blue ones again. Sounds complicated? It's not, but it's darn fun!

I've completely rebuilt the game this week since the first version was veeery early in development, and since I never comment my code, I had no idea where to begin. Work went with a nice flow and tada, it's as good as finished! Can't wait to enter it in the compo December 10th! Hope you can't either!
