Project Overview
Preview This project was started by me quite a while ago. Eventually, it was taken over by Aruthaz, who later gave up on it in order to work on a game of his own. Now I'm taking up the game again by rewriting the whole engine, revamping and reordering the levels, and compacting it so it isn't so huge a file.

The old version of this game has been ported to the iPhone and can be purchased for $0.99.

iOS
Posted 22nd Aug 12, by monkeytherat Post A Comment
I've decided to make this an iOS game again. I currently have 40 levels (25 main and 15 extra), I plan to just keep making levels in my spare time to eventually get a whole censor-load of levels.

I also plan to redo all of the music personally, so I will not have to worry about Mr. Riley getting upset at his music being used in a commercial game.

Priority number 1 now that I have the engine fixed up is to implement the story via cutscenes. I actually had a story palnned out before I made this game, but never got around to putting it in.

After the cutscenes, I will work on save/load, possibly high-scores based on death count, and possibly make a website for the game.
Progress so far...

Features so far:

*Physics engine
- Uses fastloops for smooth movement
- Can move left / right, jump, and double jump.
- Springs are functional
*Hazards
- Falling off the edge of a level will kill you
- Spikes only hurt from the top
*Items / objectives
- So far, only coins are collectible
- Collecting all of a level's coins will allow you to enter the door to the level
*Sound
- All sound effects are functional
- All music has been implemented (composed by Andrew Riley)
*Graphics
- Graphics are all drawn and animated.
*Save / Load
- As of right now, the only form of progress saving is by codes, but I plan on adding in a level menu / world map, or possibly just a "load last level" feature.
