Project Overview  
Preview Barricade is a board game adaption made by me in MMF2. It will have the classic Malefiz / Barricade gameplay.

My first version will have the original gameplay supporting up to 4 human players.

Once that is finished I try AI and OINC Multiplayer as well as enhancing the game with more boards and customization

Bugfixing, AI soon!

- close button now opens menu instead of closing application
- background is now loaded correctly before the game rolls for the starting player
- starting player routine was replaced from: "first with highest roll will win" to: if two or more players roll the same number they will roll again to estimate the winner
- main menu gui added to support AI / change number of players
- ability to change names
- changed timing on help screen to be less anoying
- some of the global values where not reset correctly if exit the current match in the middle of a move


Please note that AI Checks and Turns have been disabled in this version as they are incomplete. Also changing the number of players has no effect yet (need to seperate if from the AI code).

In Barricade you and your opponents race your 5 tokens from your home base to the finish along wide and/or narrow paths. You may pick up "barricades" if you land on them exactly with the die roll and move them to any space above the first row to block everyone's move. No one can move past a barricade unless it is landed on exactly.

If you don't know what to do just leave the mouse for 5 seconds and the ingame help (or press F1, space or enter key) will tell you what to do. Can be disabled in the Menu (ESC)

It has only around 90 events for the core game and uses Advanced Pathfinding and Select Object Extension.

MFA Source will be available after the AI Version.

All coding for hotseat is done. Game is fully playable. Just need to do the character gfx for the 4 players and polishing up the initial roll on the starting player and the winner screen as well as implementing the ingame help and the tutorial page.

Hotseat version will be out in 1-2 days, still betatesting. And I already started on AI.
