So the game is done, head over to my site or check out the downloads section of TDC and give it whirl. Let me know what you think!

Mate, love it! Awesomely hard and makes you think of what to do when the shotgun runs out of ammo.

The only thing I'd change is the controls. They're too close together, makes it awkward. For me, anyway. Or even make it so you can change the controls?

Awesome game nonetheless.

This has got to be one of the most polished and refined klik games I have ever played. I can tell a lot of love went into this game. It really makes you think and use your brain wisely, but think fast. I do have a few complaints, one of which is a rather large "WTF".

(1)-The controls. There is nothing wrong with them per se, but it's how the buttons are mapped out. I find myself accidentally shooting at times when I want to drop a weapon as the buttons are so close together and I can't remap them. I feel a remap option would alleviate all complaints for this. Now, I did get somewhat used to them after a while, but not enough to where I performed flawlessly all the time, on the 14:00 I accidentally shot a couple times in a panic because the buttons are so close together. So the controls make it incredibly hard to pick up and just play without getting accustomed.

(2)-At times it's hard to trigger the "search" option and it feels like I have to be very specific where I stand in a matter of minimal pixels. Once I learn where to go it's no issue but at first it's a "keep tapping gently so I can trigger it" kind of thing.

(3)-There is an issue with the scrolling when you detonate the kitchen gas bomb if you walk left or right, the camera doesn't follow at that moment and eventually just blinks over to you. Nothing major or game breaking, but it seemed worth mentioning.

(4)-At one point, and this only happened once, I went to put a board on the left door and about half a second after I put it on the door, the zombies busted it down anyway. Was this intended that the board isn't fully in place til the nailing sound effect is finished?

Now, all that being said, only one of those four issues is a real deal breaker. You get used to the controls, but they're not user friendly. The game will be much more enjoyable if you make it to where the player can map the buttons. If the control scheme was intended to add to the difficulty, it definitely achieves that, but in a way that frustrates the player because it's something that could have been avoided on their part had they been able to choose what keys for their control scheme.

I haven't made it past 14:00 yet so I can't give an in depth review as I feel it would be unfair to critique a game entirely without experiencing it entirely. There are things about this game that I find intriguing. I love the intro zombie in the background when you first start the level. I love that it feels like you were heavily inspired by the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead. That the game takes place in the 90s. I do wish the sky did fade to black in real time and it started with a bit more sunlight and got completely pitch black with the stars peeking out. But what you have works and well.

I played your game for about 90 minutes, and I can honestly say I feel so far (based on what I've experienced) it deserves an 8 out of 10. The graphics are well animated, a bit too bright for the style of the game, yet they somehow suit the mood and make it work. Kudos for making something work that I didn't expect would. the animation is very nice though. Bravo on that. The sound and music (not sure if music is original or not beside BTBAM) are very good for this game. But the reason it doesn't get a full fledged 10 is the controls.

All in all great job!
It impressed me enough to want to get into detail for you. I look forward to more from you.

Good work ! But I've a major problem... I've a QWERTZ keyboard (Switzerland) and I don't have the slash "/" near the dot "." key... Is it possible to change the controls please ?

Ok, so...I unlocked Story Mode and made it to the barn then died and it started me back at the house.

That's just cruel and made me X out of the game. Checkpoints for this type of game are a must.
