Clickteam Releases XNA Runtime
News posted 1st June, 2012 by The Chris Street
Probably one of the most significant Click announcements for some time, Clickteam have officially released their highly anticipated runtime for Xbox 360, Windows and Windows Phone.

The XNA runtime requires MMF2 and allows the user to develop their software for the above mentioned Microsoft products with ease.

To develop games for the Xbox 360, you will be required to sign up for an App Hub/XNA Developer account - Microsoft charge $99 per year for this service, and have access to Xbox Live. The XNA runtime is available at a discounted price (until 1st July 2012) of $79, after which the module will retail at $99. A demo is available for you to try too.

Click here for full details on the XNA Runtime Module.

Does anyone know if this will work for Zune HD by any chance? I can't find my MMF2 disks and honestly, I can't be bothered anymore since I rebuilt my computer. However if it does, this might be an interesting way to quickly spring up a mobile port of my game without having to worry too much about investing too much into the cost of licensing heavier software to do the task. Especially since I'm already very familiar with the MMF2 software.

Don't you see? It's a rippoff! Clickteam milks us!

Did you expect them to work for free? I'm glad Clickteam is producing these exporters, and have no problem with them being rewarded for doing so. If you don't want the exporter, you certainly don't have to buy it.

Fuck you! On MMF3 I expect to pay no more than what I payed on MMF2 and have all off these built in the software without buying seperated plug-ins. This seems such a rip-off!!!

Go to hell ignorant!

Considering many game development kits go for over $1000 for the commercial edition and charge extra for each additional compiler you can add, plus the price you pay for rights to publish to that platform... I'd say you have absolutely nothing to complain about and you're either failing at trolling or just need to calm down. haha

You know what's a ripoff? When circy removes you from tdc

Posted by The Chris Street 19th June, 2012

I can make that happen again. Very surprised you're not learning.
