News posted 12th May, 2009 by Rikus
Ohh here is some news even Adam does not know about:) Caderayx decided to bring back his Freeware top site back that was started way back in 1999! The top 40 is a freeware top sites list which uses a voting system to rank each site. After you submit your link can see how far it goes up in the list! Check it out and be sure to submit your own site to it!

Neato torpedo!

A bitchy little remark, that sums up your professionalism up to a tee, Rikus

Oh dont be so upset by a dose of your own medicine mr Adam. Your front page comments in the news post as of late were getting very ZzzZ to read.

Posted by Ski 12th May, 2009

You mean you werent already "ZzzZ" (must be a Dutch thing) at the news posts before you reached the comments?

Posted by Rikus 12th May, 2009

eh? what oh you wrote something? -again- -skips the comment-

Damn, the Freeware Top 40 brings back memories. I used to hover around 8-20 on that all the time. Add your sites to it, guys, it's a great way to get traffic and meet up with other klikers

lol, adams awesome

not everyone keeps up with the times
its awesome having more news

Quit your bitching adam...not everyone is as well informed as you apparently are. Some people exclusively visit this site might welcome the news that is being posted, and i'm sure the new guys are just learning the ropes and will provide more content in the coming days/weeks.

I'm currently also working on a better download section where you'll be able to add your own games, rate the games and also comment on the games. It won't be as advanced as the daily click games section but it'll be alot better than the current one that's on the top 40 right now.

"Quit your bitching adam...not everyone is as well informed as you apparently are."

That's why research was invented

I know anyone can simply go to Google and look it up if they wanted.. but some people might have the DC set as their homepage and want to catch up on the latest happenings without having to spend time searching for it Anyway, I for one think the addition of 3 more admins is a great idea and look forward to more front page posts

I never thought I'd agree with RhysD.

But hey anyways... Nice one Caderay. Good to see the site back.

Haha James, growing up does a lot for the thinking process Game is looking quite nice btw, can't wait to play it.

The downloads page on the Freeware Top 40 site is a great collection of new and classic games.

So yea I like all these news posts. I only visit DC, sometimes the indiegamer blog to get a big dose of news and thats it. I even missed loads of news in this site such as this one.
TBH I just like to get my news and then get on with my day. I can't afford to just sit around looking up every piece of relevant information.

I don't seem to be able to add my site there.
(http://www.hayovanreek.nl is not working: The URL returned HTTP status [302])

Yeah, you sure showed everyone how professional you are adam with that comment. I can't believe you are the same age as my cousin!

Posted by Hayo 12th May, 2009

I wonder how "ZzzZ" is a Dutch thing. I also wonder where Adam claimed to be professional, just doesn't sound like him really.

Not so long ago I discovered a news post at gamebuilder pointing out (and BAAAAAAWing about) the three new TDC admins. Made by... you guessed it, Adam!

and after you called me a hypocrite too, haha.

WHAT DO ALL THESE COMMENTS HAVE TO DO WITH THIS NEWSPOST

AND

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I AM DOING WRONG ADDING MY SITE

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Posted by Marko 12th May, 2009

You're right, adam doesn't sound professional

Posted by Hayo 12th May, 2009

This place is hopeless.

:/

Haha okay, lets stop fighting...

@Hayo, I don't know whats wrong with your site trying to be added. Good luck though, I would want to see you on their.

@Adam, I think this is good news, but I do see your point, a lot of the stuff that is posted on TDC is kind of old.

@Caderay, Nice website! Hopefully more people check it, and add their websites. I think it could become a nice collection.

I stopped fighting a while ago this morning, this just proves these little (by no means big) piranhas thrive from keeping the conflict going.

Posted by -MacAdaM- 13th May, 2009

Good then!
Sorry if I came off like I was saying only you were fighting still. Everyone seemed to be.
Anyway, hopefully the admins do good a good job, I think they will.
With 3 new admins, there must be some new news, just give it some time.

Posted by Rikus 13th May, 2009

Hayo, pm Caderay directly i'm sure he can fix it for ya

Posted by Caderay 13th May, 2009

The script I use doesn't allow redirecting sites that have 300 level http status codes because google doesn't like it. I will disable that security feature until you add your site Hayo then I will re-enable it. Hopefully once I re-enable it there won't be any problems. If not I'll just keep that security feature disabled for you. Let me know if you have any more problems.

Posted by Hayo 13th May, 2009

Thanks, but now I am unable to add it because it "generated too many redirections"

I like seeing more news on the front page
