General Poll #3
News posted 6th June, 2007 by Flava
Which Clickteam product do you use the most?

A total of 143 people voted for this poll.

Probably as expected, most of you use MMF2 the most - which gained 88 votes altogether. MMF 1.5 and TGF were the other favourites, which gained 24 and 20 votes respectively - while TGF2, KNP and CNC received 5 votes or less. And the poll also told us, that nobody uses Jamagic. Which is hardly a surprise.

.:THIS WEEK'S POLL:.

This week's poll was suggested by Muz!
What kind of genre would you like to see most in klik?

Posted by Joshtek 6th June, 2007

It doesn't say that nobody uses Jamagic, just that nobody uses Jamagic *the most*.

I'd like to see more adventure (point & click) games.

I'd like to see some beat-em-up's. That genre's not on the list, though

Posted by waffleton 6th June, 2007

Interactive fiction all the way

Posted by BROO 6th June, 2007

You could've done some sorting, not everyone loves RPG and Adventure listed 1st and 2nd :---).

I'd like to see more adventure (point & click) games.

Me too

"What kind of genre would you like to see most in klik?"

I assume you mean what we'd like to see more of?

RPGs. Original concept though rather than FF clone.

In reguards to this new poll, I think it's easy to say that we need more RPG and RTS games here.

Posted by Dr. James MD 6th June, 2007

I voted Interactive Fiction thinking nobody else would and I love Hotel Dusk.

Posted by chrilley 6th June, 2007

RTS and Beat em Ups! I'm also waiting for an awesome SNES Final Fantasy clone.

Wonder how many people mistook Turn Based Strategy for RPG.

Posted by waffleton 6th June, 2007

Im thinking of making an RPG since everyone is wanting one.

How about a Pokemon but with airplanes instead of mans?

Added "beat'em ups" (No ' though, seems to screw the script) and "Shooters". Any other additions anyone can think of?

Posted by Knudde (Shab) 6th June, 2007

Oh and I voted Turn Based Strategy, cause TBS games kick ass.

Posted by Flava 6th June, 2007

Yeh if anyone has other options/suggestions for answers then shoot away and we'll add them - we tried to add all the main ones we could think of

Posted by waffleton 6th June, 2007

Puzzle?

Posted by waffleton 6th June, 2007

And just curious, have anyone ever made a complete RTS in MMF1/2?

Posted by Knudde (Shab) 6th June, 2007

I REALLY should have noticed that one...

Posted by Knudde (Shab) 6th June, 2007

I think TIGS got the closest to a "normal" rts game. There have been many games that attempt to masquerade themselves as rts though.

I love turn based strategy. The Advance Wars series is one of my favorite ever. I have never played a Click-made TBS game. Does such a game even exist?

Posted by Knudde (Shab) 6th June, 2007

many have attempted, and as far as I know, no one has had any success besides a very basic engine. (Most without ai I believe)

Posted by waffleton 6th June, 2007

Did anyone say TBS?

Application?

Posted by axel 6th June, 2007

We've got enough platform, RPG and adventure games already. We need more RTSs (which I voted for), and racing games!

Posted by Zethell 7th June, 2007

FPS

Posted by Muz 7th June, 2007

Interactive Fiction is *hell* to make in klik. The best you can get is try to use Lua to put it in. Yet, it's amazingly easy to do with most other programming languages.

Posted by waffleton 7th June, 2007

What are you talking about Muz? Its extremely easy to do x3

I made an engine a while ago, its really simple.

Posted by Neuro 9th June, 2007

Can I get my vote back? I wanna vote beat em up
