Hi all
I've been considering adding a few new forums for some time, and I just wanted to know what people would like to see. At the moment I'd like to see an Art forum (as would Smeby), but are there any other suggestions? Please do not suggest "Warez" or "Porn" forums And try to think of forum ideas that you'd use at DC, not just something you've seen on another forum.
I might, while I'm at it, add a few other features like stickey posts and restricted forums if I have the time... Any other suggestions on that front as well?

Or you could tax Total Klik with a 'LOL' Board. Basically a board for posting numerous jokes and pranks. Which may end up in about 20 different goatse related images. Yay internet!
Yeah, I think just a general 'show off your work' forum would be quite cool!
I think it'd be cool to have a place where we can post betas and demos (instead of folk putting them on the main page as downloads) and pixel work, art work, code examples and tutorials...

TJ: I dont really know... I like everyone to be able to see all the forums exist. I dont know why Thanks for the post on the Editor forum... it seems the people I got to test that my restrictions worked didnt test it well enough! It should be fixed now, however.
Sner: I made the boards order primarily by restrictions, then alphabetically. It seems Club's script to display the "Other Forums" puts them all in reverse alphabetical order for some reason I'm not entirely sure about
ASF: I dont think we need that since people can comment in the preview itself. Perhaps if more people want this board I'll add it, so post here if you do

its pretty confusing now.. you have to read the description to know what the forum is. i liked it with just 4. now you have to scroll down and find out what forum to post your post under. just critic your art and games in the misc or general chat...
BON: The point of the extra forums is so you didnt have to critic things in the misc forum... Having everything piled into one forum makes things messy, IMO.
But hey, I've said it enough times I'm sure I dont need to say "that" Murphys Law again

can you put them all in the right order in the list down the side? just i go from top to bottom and it gets confusing
oh and some "next" and "previous" buttons on threads would be quite cool as well.

TJ? Whos TJ? ooooh, I'm TJ... everyone just calles me Josh, Joshtek, or occasionally JoshTek (thats what Invision called me when they thanked me for point out a security hole).
Although allowing people to see forums which they may sometimes get to (e.g a VIP forum for those who donate money) seems okay, publicising a forum which you can't get to not only wastes space and adds clutter but it encourages new people to go "I wanna be Admin! I wanna be Admin!".
The re-sort is probbably caused by data being split up, then put into a foreach loop. When each forum gets parsed through the loop it is added to the beggining of a new array or string and not the end, this will cause 123 to become 321.
You asked people to test security but not me? I find that strange considering AFAIK I'm one of the only/few people who actually finds and reports security holes on Click sites
