I built a .swf file of my current game and when i run it all the sounds seem to be delayed by about 3/4 of a second, i was wondering if this problem can be solved. Thanks

Is there any other kind of lag you can detect? Is there a sound event connected to multiple instances of the same Object? Are there too many objects present in your frame?
Whenever something weird happens in my projects, I take a look at things like I've listed above. You may want to isolate your problem events by creating a debugging group in your Events List, dragging the events into that group one at a time, and then deactivating the group before playthroughs. This will help you test which specific events are causing you issues.
The only other thing I can think of is that you've somehow highly-compressed your audio files, in which case your application may be taking a bit too long to "de-crunch" them. I'm no audio engineer, but from what you've mentioned here, that's a possible culprit.

Check out Ricky's tip in this thread: http://www.create-games.com/forum_post.asp?id=281537&show=all
Otherwise, lagging sound in MMF SWF is basically something we have to live with.
