Hi guys, it's been awhile since I've been active on this site and using TGF (I know, it's obsolite) and I want to make a game similer to Mr Do by Universal.

The problem is I got no knowledge on how to do any form of INTELLIGENT or any form of remotely INTELLIGENT AI.
( Please note I'm not shouting but just pointing out my main problem )

I've made games as a mess around and pretty much know my way round the whole event editor from using it so much but would like to know the best way to get a enemy to chase the player in a changing maze like the DigDug caverns.

I helped someone with this before, check here:

EDIT: (a copy and paste of my example from the above post)
http://www.jsoftgames.com/dungeoncrawlernew.zip

"It works! All objects in the enemy group use the random path finding engine, they collide/avoid everything in the 0 group.

It uses no detectors, and requires the enemies collision field to be a multiple of 16

I also implemented animated directions, so all you have to do is replace the place holder graphics.

The rest of your engine remains intact!"

Thanks for the reply UrbanMonk but I got a slight problem and I'm sorry to say but I don't have TGF 2 or MMF 2, I got the trial of TGF 2 but it has expired so I'm pretty stuck.

Is there anyway I could view the code though...

Well the codes a bit complicated. It also uses the string parser 2 which isn't necessary for this type of engine but made it a whole lot easier to do.

If you want to look at the code download the trial of mmf2 dev, and redownload the file I posted. The parser extension is included. Put the Parser.mfx in the extension and data\runtime folders of mmf2.

I suggest saving up your money and getting at least mmf2. It's worth it!
