I know a lot of you are not going to like this, however I've been planning to do this for a while. Custom ratings can no longer contain images or any sort of HTML code. I know most of you did not abuse this feature, however some people did and so there is really no other option. I'm aware that this change has made some custom ratings appear a little messy, and it would normally cost you DC points to change it to something suitable.
If your custom rating has been affected by these changes, please send me a DC mail or post here and let me know what you want it changing to. I will only change the ratings that have been directly affected (i.e. ratings with HTML code and images URLs in them).
I've also limited your profile and forum posts to only display 6 tags.
There was another option though. Our avatars can have a limited size so if they exceed that size then it stretches it down to that size. Couldn't that/wasn't that done for tagged images?
Maybe I'm just not sure of what was being abused. Who was abusing it and what were they doing?
I think the problem was because you could link to an image, you could change the image itself as many times as you want for a new custom rating without paying DCpoints.

But fair enough, I can see why it would be better not to allow it as AndyUK said you could update the image for your rating as many times as you wanted without having to pay more DC points to edit your rating.
Though; I don't see why we should be limited to displaying 6 tags, these are tiny objects and don't clutter up any space or look garish. 6 is just not really a lot, Radix has only his donate tag, VIP tag, and 4 gotw trophies but no extra tag space so now he can't display those as well as some nice custom tags if he wanted to. (Just as an example)
It's not like we're running a business here. So what if you could change your custom rating through changing the link of a custom rating image? No one's losing anything because we can all do it. I'd rather they do that then flood the site with crap so they can afford a custom rating change.
That's why i just kept my rating blank. Flava could you change it so that if i leave a blank custom rating, it stays blank instead of spamming a bunch of stars.
Six tags seems not enough to me. I understand the importance of a limit, but can't 10 fit in a row anyway?
And what do people like MJK, who have a bunch of GOTW and other awards shall do? Maybe there could be a row for these significant awards and a row for tags bought from the the TDC store.
I'll change the tags limit to 10 then - but for now the ratings are staying as they are. One reason images are not allowed in ratings is because we cannot control the size of the images (not easily anyway) and also users can produce images which make them look like an administrator. We never intended to allow images in ratings anyway - it's just that it took me a while to get round to fixing it.
Edit: Okay I've removed the limit completely but basically changed it so that only 10 tags are displayed on each row (so the layout doesn't mess up or anything).

People did some interesting stuff with them though. I saw people doing like reflections and stuff. I mean it's fine if you're set on your answer, but theres still some say left I think.
