I got to the space stage and stopped playing all together. I was really disappointed with it now I think about it.

Building creatures is ok I guess but I still feel it's a little limited as there have been numerous times when it's not let me design what I wanted. I really enjoyed the cell stage though, maybe I should look into the iPod version...

Yep, considering the amount of hype they made about it, and the months it took for them to release it, I'm kinda disappointed too.

Ha, I was heavily disappointed the day I started playing it. It felt so glitched and sloppy in terms of being put together. The concept seemed great but it wasn't put together very well at all. I'll stick with the Sims 2.

I was afraid to say anything though, because I was sure I would be shunned from the gaming community as a whole.

Honestly, the original alpha versions looked a lot better than the final version. I played it on a friend's comp for half a day and got bored. Bored! That's like the worst crime a game could make

It's a lot like a MMORPG. Good concept, but ruined by marketing. I think the building creatures phase could've been much better and was supposed to be much better. It just got too dumbed down in the end.. even as a kid I would've loved for it to be more complicated and flexible, without the silly DNA points system. The original video had creatures dragging around corpses and stuff in the creature phase, didn't find that in the final release.

I was also hoping for more progressive evolution. Not for all my creatures to turn out the same way I did, as soon as I finished. I sort expected a sped up... well, evolutionary process. I mean even Sims 2 does this to a degree, with traits being passed on through family generations.

Heh, I got to the space stage and also did everything possible. Including reaching the centre of the universe which wasn't as rewarding as I'd hoped. I even followed a path of stars out to the very edge of my Galaxy arm and zoomed in on the very last star and found a group of gorilla-like things so, I demolished them and established a few cities there... I havn't played it since. Even though the space stage seems to go on forever, it's extremely repetitive/tedious and there's no way anyone could ever defeat the Grox or even manage to own that many star systems so there's really nothing to do any more

Anyone managed to kill an Epic yet? I've killed 3

I lost interest, the instant I became lonely at the idea that the game felt like an MMO that none of my friends could join me in.

Now had this been multiplayer online, then hell yeah... but alas... it's not.

How do you kill epics? Just get a bunch of friends to spit and them and run away?

Well, the only tactic that's worked for me now doesn't need any friends with you Just make sure you have over 100 health (End of creature stage) and then lure an epic (Preferably a non-flying one) into a small forest. With a bit of skill you can set up a position where the epic can't get at you because the trees are in the way, and you can constantly spit at it for about half an hour . The Epic's do tend to have a lot of trouble maneuvering through the tall trees and will often get stuck and just stand there roaring at you. Of course, you need a lot of health because it takes a while to kill an epic, and once your hunger bar = 0, your health starts depleting, so unless you want to risk moving over to a plant to eat a bit and getting trampled by the epic, it's good to start with a lot of health

I could write an article on this. But I'm afraid it would admit what little life I have

Just lead them to your nest, where they'll get stuck attacking you but they can't harm you because you're in your nest. You can hurt them though.

The epic stepped on my friends and they died. Then it stepped on me and I died too
