You are Sir Boingers, a noble knight with his trusty jumpbird, on a Quest to retrieve cupcakes from the land known as Perilterria (or the Dangerzone).

Don’t forget to check the readme file included with the game. You can find important game notes and information on level creation there.

Game features
* Fun and challenging. The controls and levels are easy to get the hang of but difficult to master.
* 8-bit style. The game has a distinct retro feeling to it, from graphics to gameplay, sound and music.
* 13 action-packed levels. Not much for the first release, but just try beating this game! But more importantly, there’s...
* Extendability. You are able to create, play and share your own level sets. They’ll appear right in the game’s menu, and if you send them to us we’ll feature them right here!
* Joystick compatible. Play with a keyboard or a gamepad.

it takes a while to get used to the controls (especially if you try to change them in the config :S)

But it's a good challenge and well designed too! Oh with some good music. I'm sure I heard some of them elsewhere

The character art and cakes seem to be completely different style to all the rest of it which actually makes them look ripped.

Well, only the bird was scaled down. I do agree that the detail on the main character is a bit higher than the background, but everything's 100% original, you can trust me on that.

There's a new version coming up in a few weeks that will include more (detailed) enemies and backgrounds. I'll also create a levelset that's easier to play then (though you can create levels yourself if you like! A tutorial is linked in the readme doc).

I wasn't saying I thought they were ripped. Just that they look like what a game with ripped graphics looks like. Mixed styles make me think that basically.
