Requires MMF 1.5, should've put this down in the first place...

Aside from another shot of stardom for my puny little game, this might be a treat for those who at least thought the engine was well done.

Here is a version of the engine used in Anime Rally with some basic elements done. This requires the Directional Calculator for turning, and I've put in several comments about what certain aspects of the code does what.

The engine features...

3 CPU characters
Selectable characters with different weight classes
Radar Map
Reverse
Pause Function
Items with randomizer
Descriptions for some of the more complicated parts of the code.

My only disclaimer is that you dont use the level graphics in this unless you want to make Anime Rally 2 - the Better-ing. I'd like to see a more refined version of this if possible though.

This may be updated down the road if people are confused with how certain things work.

very nice and clean. only problem i really have is that its like controlling a go cart in a pinball machine. a bump into the wall shouldnt send you flying, and in tight stretches it gets very hard to control.

This is great!

I dissagree with Tragedy, Bounceing into walls DO make you fly away.

You should really try driving a go-cart into a wall dude.

However, it dosnt make you fly that far..

I agree that the bouncing physics are a little touchy, but fixing things like this would require me to do it more than fifty times to the game itself.

That includes the Single Player levels, which are about 10, then theres multiplayer, code for each seperate player, thats 40 more times. Sorry about that, but I would like someone to point out how to make things like this seem more...realistic.

I should add that some inspiration for the engine came from Rare's Mickey's Speedway USA on Game Boy Color (NOT the N64 game) in that the heavier the characters are, the more they slide around. The game is a little frustrating, but it is basically what Anime Rally is, except you cant drive off road =P

Thats why you should make an LEVEL EDITOR.

A real clicker only uses 1 frames for the whole game.
