Hey,

I am making a Sonic game. Which will have two versions, Tomb Raider style, and Traditional Sonic. So far it has taken hours to make, and i have only done Sonic! I am so pleased with myself and have decided to make it open source.

It has 30 different animations. Because i am making a game with different versions there are 3 different type of jumps. I don't think i've missed anything/much out....

Anyway, you can see the large amount of animations in screenshot one.

I mainly am releasing this open source because you get alot of people who make fan games but don't rip them properly and don't even take their time putting it into MMF.

I hope you enjoy and maybe even use them! As long as it doesn't have any of the same ideas as the game i am making

Ps. There are also some emeralds in it.

No offence, but giving out an open source unless your asking for help or sending it out as a tutorial isnt real bright. Also, this "source" only has the ripped animations from the Sonic Advance Series, no code or anything... Nothing more that what you can snag off of Sonic FanGames HQ.

But you can't actually download an open source of the character with this many animations. Yes, they are ripped. And i only sent it out so you can see (and use if you must) how many animations will be used in my game.

You try making sonic by ripping the graphics and then slicing them up and them making loads of animations out of them one by one :P

Yer, my first attempt at hotspots ^_^ I never used to do/compile my own gfx :(

Well in that case, nice job, because it took me a long time to get used to hot spots. ^_^

It was very hard, seeing as i just started, doing the hot spots for the swinging around the bar! Thanks for the good comments ;)

Hey Jambo, it is always good to do this, if you don't know what you are doing yet, just use someone's graphics and play with them. Don't worry about making the graphics when you have to learn so much for the "programming" side, that way you worry at one thing at a time! Good Job man. Hot Spots are tricky and can take a good while to figure them out.

There's usually something in the animation that always stays in one place (sometimes the head, or the body). Set yer hotspots in this place for best results.

For most animations, I just use the feet.

I like it. But add some more things to it. Like more caracters, and then send it out as a MMF (Multi Media Fusion) Document. Also, do you know any other MMF documents on here. Like the ones that you can download, then use the stuff in yours?
